Re: Chelski given lengthy transfer ban
I find it extremely amusing that FIFA and UEFA are prepared to go any lengths to get at English football. There seems to be one punishment for Premiership teams and a different one for the rest of Europe.
How many teams around Europe have been accused of this sort of thing? How many have been banned from transfer activity for over 15 months? Seems utterly absurd to me.
First Eduardo's ridiculous ban now this. If this is going to be the standard punishment nowdays then it's fine, but I severely doubt that is the case.

Don't know about that, not being able to sign any new players until mid-way through next season? They'd be screwed if a couple of the big names from that midfield go or get injured.

Won't stop them from taking a choice player on "loan" ... at a price ... before signing him post Jan 2011 !!
Don't think Anchovie or Abraham really give a damn.

they'll appeal and get it reduced to one transfer window.
agree with WIFAN though, the hate is becoming too obvious now.

That's because they're a bunch of snivelling limp-dicks. Sepp Blatter's 20 year persecution is still going on. No surprise, in my eyes.
Re: Chelski given lengthy transfer ban
Sepp Blatter/Michel Platini handing over a Euro trophy to an English team is as satisfying to watch as John Howard handing over that Rugby Jug in 2003!

Re: Chelski given lengthy transfer ban
Only needs someone to take out all their goalkeepers, then they will be bottom of the Championship by the time they are allowed to sign another player!spangler wrote:JKLever wrote:Probably the club the least likely to be effected by it....

Winners in 2003, and finalists in 2007. Seems pretty clear cut taipan.

Well........nah I won't even discuss the Six Nations.
I mean that should be a walk in the park for your lot considering you can beat the Wallabies in the outback...
I suppose Martin Johnson's England are in the transition period...

Me and Taips will be the only forummers competing in the Pool stages it seems.
Although Lever will be competing with himself in Pool B.
Trust us to have SAF, Fiji and Samoa....FFS.

Losing finalist and winner is better than winner and quarter finalist whatever way you try to swing it.taipan wrote:Well SA only lost 1 WC match this decade.
