The AFL drug code has been next to useless.

If Shane Warne played any other sport professionally other than cricket his ban would have been a lot longer than 1 year.

The AFL drug code would work IF players were caught every time they used drugs ...but they aren't ...and the players know which drugs to use and when they are likely to be tested ...and so only the really stupid get caught ...

Even someone as stupid as Cousins has still never tested positive ......
