Get over yourselves you crusty vaginas. I'm as outraged as cheese in May.

5 MUCH better action films than the ones I haven't seen:

12 Monkeys (Hush Dello)
Bourne Trilogy
Blade Runner
Heat
The motherf*cking badass Dark Knight

Oh - and it was deliberate. Inthought that was obvious monkeh. Don't interest me.

You can't kick me out of the pack you sh*ts. I was the stimuli for the creation of the pack. Or rather I was the stimuli of the stimuli. I'm like your grandad. You can call me Father Time.

The fact that you just called Blade Runner an action film has confirmed your expulsion from the badger pack.

Action/Sci-Fi/Thriller/Mystery/Noir. Ticks many boxes you heap.

I refuse to leave the pack. If I go down you all go down. This is like kicking Diana Ross out of the Supremes.

Action sci fi would be something more along the lines of aliens. Or predator. You know, those other films you haven't seen....

S'got shooting and running in it. S'action.

I did like the last boy scout with Bruce Willis. That was good.

I have 3 friends who genuinely think that Die Hard is the greatest film of all time. I might watch it just to see how mental they are.

Twelve Monkeys an action flick? What?

Did I ever mention the time I hung out with the big TG...?

So has Chariots of Fire (if you count the starter's pistol).

You need to have a good hard look at yourself and the way you're bandying around "action" all willy nilly.

12 Monkeys like Blade Runner were both psychological thrillers rather than straight action movies. I think both movies were misunderstood when they were first released & wrongly pigeonholed.

If someone hadn't seen Blade Runner, then from the trailers and the name of the film then I could see how it might possibly be misconstrued as an action film.

Anyone who has actually seen it will know that it is nothing like an action film. At all.

Another movie I saw recently that is worth a look is 'Source Code.'

Good original idea for a plot, even if the ending lets it down a tad.

Yeah it's really a wonderful film, probably in my top 5. Directors cut of course. Not the abomination that was the cinematic release with the godawful voiceover and hollywood ending.

Edit: Here's the piece of sh!t I'm talking about:

The only reason I occasionally over indulge in drink is to try to block out this gashlord ending.

I bet that LLL not only thinks that Blade Runner is an action film, but also prefers this ending.

Christ, I just watched it again and nearly puked up my breakfast. Utter travesty that this version was ever even shot, let alone released in cinemas.

I don't want to make your nose bleed. But I enjoyed both versions. I saw the first version when I was a kid, I reckon that was my first non-kid's film I watched with my dad. When I watched the director's cut, it was like 'Ahh, that's better'. Of course, by then my dad had forced 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' down my throat, so I was already 'savvy'. But yeah, f*cking excellent film.

Another film-noir that the critics wank about that's absolutely f*cking mega? Chinatown.

Heh, exact same thing happened to me with Blade Runner. Saw the sh!tty version when I was about 15, didn't hate it at the time but couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Was at a mate's house and the directors cut was on TV, I didn't even know there was a directors cut and thought it was the same film, then as I started watching I thought "this is better than I remembered", then the awesome ending happened and I thought "WTF?" and then did a little digging around on t'internet and found out there were two versions.

The original isn't awful in it's own right, but it does somewhat butcher what is a classic film, hence why I find it repugnant.

Chinatown. Yeah, quality film but a little too bleak for my tastes. I can see why people masturbate over it but I probably wouldn't watch it again.

Aye, PhilKDick was incredibly excited about Blade Runner, he never got to see it though unfortunately. I wonder what he'd have made of it. TBH, it smacks of 80's Hollywood, to cut out the whole meaning of the book just in case random schlubs got all muntery about it.

Chinatown is brilliant the first time around, I'd heard about it since my creation but didn't watch it until a few years ago when I was having a lazy one. Kept me incredibly gripped throughout.
