Flintoff's manager talks the big man down....again
http://www.cricinfo.com/england/content/current/story/424813.html
I'm sick of this Andrew Chandler bloke. Sounds like a complete money grabbing toss bag, who's sole aim is to milk the Flintoff brand completely dry. And he has a habit of making Fred come accross as a bit.......of a shit. Fred said he wanted more time with his family and that his body can't stand up to the rigours of test cricket anymore, and yet now his manager is talking about him playing for up to 5 different domestic T20 teams around the world in one year. Odd, and confusing.

Maybe there should be a game.
Similar to Football Manager or Cricket Manager.
Flintoff(s) Manager 2009. Help Freddie avoid all the evil demon's of the Cricketing world. (with hilarious consequences).

Flintoff has told the ECB what to do with their offer of an Incremental Contract.

That's a shame. The Flintoff respect level drops another notch. So much for him quitting test cricket to spend more time with his young family.

He's probably worked out that he's got a couple of years at best before his ankles/knees/hips/brain gives up the ghost, so he's going to milk the game for all he can in the meantime. can't say I blame him.

Re: Flintoff's manager talks the big man down....again
In all honesty he's probably only got a couple of games left, rather than a couple of years. How could someone with his injury history possibly play for up to 5 T20 teams a year? And what kind of credibility can the T20 have when a key ingredient to a succsessful sporting event- Passion and loyalty, will be missing from all of the 'freelance' players like Flintoff? He'll probably forget which team he's playing for.

While I don't wish to suggest T20 has any credibility - it is truly a shit form of a great game - it's a bit rich to suggest said reduction in credibility due to the 'passion and loyalty' being missing, when you come from a country which is the home of the most mercenary sporting competition around in the EPL.Henry wrote:And what kind of credibility can the T20 have when a key ingredient to a succsessful sporting event- Passion and loyalty, will be missing from all of the 'freelance' players like Flintoff?
