I was right about Parnell playing ahead of Ntini.

Red, who is your avatar? I'd smash her ragged.

If SL can rake up somewhere around 270 things may get interesting.
I think its a huge gamble by Smith to field first on this pitch. But then, he knows SA pitches better than most.

And stats back SL to win this. Last 4 ODIs have been won by teams batting first.

He said that the pitches at this time of the year are as much a mystery to the SA camp as to the opposition.
With the IPL being held in SA earlier this year, many of the world's players would be becoming more familiar with the conditions in SA.

With the pitch dry, and likely to get drier and the ball sometimes doing something under lights, it was a bit of a gamble to send a team in. I thought teams liked to bat first in day/nighters in SA. Of course the overall rustiness of the home team, as predicted by some, could work against them.

SL looking good, smashing the ordinary SA bowlers all over the park. Dilshan in savage mood.

No wonder they are rated as the worlds best ODI team.

If they lose an early match and stagger to the next round or miss out, maybe it's not choking. Maybe they're just not good enough. Their attack looks impotent. But certainly they struggle in the big tournaments whereas Sri Lanka tends to flourish under the pressure of them.
SA batsmen will have to be on their mettle later tonight. Will be interesting to see if it gets tougher or easier to bat on.
According to Steyn, the Saffers were going to be unbeatable in this tournament. So it's all ahead of them.

Ohhhhhhhh, of course!!!! SA are playing so Red is back. Red goes away when SA aren't playing. How deliciously boring.
