Watson always looks like a sook but his form has been woeful of late. This opening pair just doesn't cut it.

T-Paine has done well at the top of the order, but I see what you mean. You need some hustling bully of an opener who can dictate situations.
If this fails, bring in Shaun Marsh. (Unless his Wozzie form has been woeful?)
Averages 41 in ODI's though.

There's always a catch.
I wish stats would have an injury category. Like a 'chance of playing' meter. Pocson would be in the Red constantly.

9.2
Kumar to Ponting, SIX, Some Magic from Ricky. Delicious straight hit. He glided forward, picked the length delivery from the off and middle and lofted it handsomely over long-on.
The pinnacle of Ponting.

it was too late - ponting had got his eye in! i knew it'd get a reaction from taipan though lol
supporters whose teams are out shouldn't be allowed to post on match threads, you know keep the riff raff out

One of the last things I'd expect in this context.

beautiful bowling by mishra, shouldve had a wicket off the 4th ball
11.4 Mishra to Paine, FOUR, Edged but goes between Dhoni and Dravid at first slip. It was a lovely leg break that spun past the lunging Paine, took the edge and Dravid dived to his left but couldn't reach it

ishant getting hammered, 5 bowler policy already looking flawed. slightly uneven pitch so 280 should be a winning total.
harby on.

Ash wrote:just took 5-1 on hussey to be top scorer for oz, ditto dhoni for ind. 7-1 india winning the tournament is decent considering SL are 6-1 and they relying on nrr.
39.1
Mishra to Hussey, 1 leg bye, on the leg and middle, stabbed away to short fine-leg region
and with that single hussey overtakes pontings 65 as top scorer ...just hope white doesnt go beserk now !!

India might just get knocked out due to the rain.

263 off 42 would be the target but its still raining. if its rained off then india will hope that pakistan beat australia, and we thrash windies to get our nrr above aus. 153 off 20 overs would suit us fine :p
