Someone else just said pretty much the same on an old board I used to frequent. It's dead as now but we all used to meet up for gigs and have a jolly old time.

Terrific movie. Terrific song. Surprising to see a movie on an Asian football team and racism in UK's league backdrop. Even more surprisingly made by an Indian film maker given that cricket rules India and very few states follow footies. Probably best sports movie made in India too date.

I'm a f**king big metal fan, and lets face it, their solos are more complex than in any genre, but f**k me, Dave Gilmour. There's just something about how he plays his solos, he isn't the fastest (by ANY means) he isn't the cleanest, but there's just something about his playing that is so above his contemparies. Playing as fast as Herman Li would be an achievement, playing as complex solos as the likes of Kirk Hammet or Dave Mustaine is something a lot of people are unlikely to achieve.

But there's just something about Dave Gilmour, he's no where near as fast or as techincally proficient as ANY of his contempories, but when you hear a Dave Gilmour solo you literally just don't want it to end.

Nowhere near the most technically proficient soloist, no where near the most technically proficient best guitarist, but for pure emotion, f**k me. Find me a man who is close to him.

As usual the Byron Bay Blues Festival is being held over the Easter weekend. I would have loved to have gone but wasn't in a position to do so this year. However, ABC Radio were broadcasting from the site this afternoon & that was very enjoyable. I'd like to put up videos of some of the artists.
