Surely a team that has never won a test series in Australia or South Africa can't be considered the world's best team.

South Africa still no1, India still no 2, imo.

I'd agree with that.

Despite the ranking, I won't agree with India being ranked no.1 in tests, at least for now. But have to say, not losing 1 single test in 18 months is pretty impressive, whichever way you look at it.

That test was played almost 2 years back and not 18 months back.

Last we lost a test was against SA in Mar'08, I believe.
