<<But if he is not picked for next week's Test at the Gabba - his favourite Test ground in Australia - he believes that could be the end of his Test career>>

He'd better not do that during the Chappell-Hadlee trophy.

Re: FFS, now MacDill is having a bleat
That Fox Sports story is a beat-up.
I was at the press conference yesterday. Here's what MacGill actually said. Verbatim.
On missing out:
I'll be disappointed because it will probably be a good indicator that I'm not going to play again. That's probably about it - but I'm very very comfortable with everything I've achieved to this point so I think it'd be a bit wrong to be too upset about missing out.
On Brad Hogg:
I really admire him for his state of mind and his presence of mind to be making the statements he is about how comfortable he is with his career to date because that's much the same as I'm feeling. I feel that even with Shane Warne around I've played a lot more than I thought I would and achieved lot more than I thought I'd achieve.
If either of us get selected tomorrow I know for sure that we'll both be very very grateful for an extra opportunity because that's all it is from now. Both of us are 36, 37. We've only got a small window anyway so you know, we blink and it's all over anyway.
And that my dear friends gets turned into "MacGill Fears For His Future".

Care for a wager on that? If he ends up averaging less then 35 in this Test series I'll go heave.

No need for a wager - just report back on who you hurled on.

What did he average the last time he was the primary slow bowler against the injuns?

Isn't the next Test against Sri Lanka?
If I recall correctly, the Indians play spin quite well

meh, the Lankans are only practice for the Indians - that's why they are playing the Cricketing backwaters of Hobart and East Ipswich.

"the Cricketing backwaters.......... East Ippy "
hmmmmmmmm - that'd be why the Test season kicks off there each year.

Ferked, I came up to South-east Ippy for a 6 week job in Feb and am still here. I've even started to develop a lean
However, I just received my invite to the box for the first day at that backwater known as the gabba as some small payment for the pain I am enduring.

Since Feb? There can't be that much shat to shift anywhere outside the subcontinent. Sure you're not just having the time of your life & faking incompetence?

You know as well as I do, that all of SEQld's shat goes to Woodridge and surrounds and someone has helping them deal with it took up the first 6 months. Anna and Campbell have been arguing about merit of the last 4 months (and next 4 or 6 or 18 ). I don't need to fake incompetence
