The Football Thread - 09/10 (II)
Quite clearly plumb though, was just using the referral because he had it.DJ_Smerk wrote:Oh what's happening now.
Rafa appears to be going for a referral. This really is desperate times for the Liverpool manager.

The whole of Liverpool rejoice as Rafa waddles back to the Pavillion.

Torres and Bellamy, up front?
Bellamy: Oi you poncy Spanish tw*t!
Yeah, that'd work.

This SURELY has to spell the end for Benitez. He's used up all of his Champions League 2005 credits.

Man U's owners looking to sell Old Trafford to refinance the club. If you were loaded, and hated Man U, you could really f*ck them over by buying the place. And building apartments there.

So, the mighty Ipswich spurned in their attempts to woo Bambedele Adebola to Portman Road. I can see the tears in JK's face right now, tears of despair, frustration (physical and sexual) and fear all melding together.
In other news, how old is Victor Moses?

Is he not a teenager? About 19?
You're thinking of the other Moses. On the mount. With his "rules". He's a lot older.

Dele's won more games on his own than Ipswich have this season.
I don't like him much but he's a decent enough backup for us. He makes a nuisance of himself whenever he plays and causes havoc in opposition defences. But there's no way we'd let him go to Ipswich anyway. You can have Joe Garner on loan if you want.

Yeah, we don't really need 'decent enough back up' at this stage though.

Re: The Football Thread - 09/10 (II)
Yeah, thanks.
It was like watching Barcelona first-half yesterday. The first goal was epic rapeage of the eighteenth degree. As for the second-half, it was like watching Hull City. We could and probably should have thrown it away, if not for Lee Camp who could pretty much walk into any bar in Nottingham at the moment and guarantee himself a ton of free drinks, some very gay hugs, a Forest scarf, a kiss from a very attractive young lady and a chant or two of 'England's Number One' (sung not entirely tongue-in-cheek, either).
Just on Victor Moses, I meant that there was a report in one of the papers that he's one of those Nigerians who has magically lost a few years in crossing the channel. Supposedly he could be closer to 23 than 19. Looks like he'll be a Man City player by next week.
Though a certain Nottingham-based club are second favourites for his signatures with the money men.

Re: The Football Thread - 09/10 (II)
Didn't he come over when he was just a boy, though? Can't see any reason why he'd lie about being eleven when he was actually fifteen. To what end?
Imagine being a fifteen year old and stuck hanging out with eleven year olds. Rubbish. And fifteen year old chicks are well up for it. Eleven year olds don't even know they're chicks yet. So young Victor would've been super frustrated.
Nah, I don't believe it.

Re: The Football Thread - 09/10 (II)
City level at HT with united due to a dodgy penalty.
United playing most of their first team, would they be playing the reserves if it wasn't for the chance of City denying them the right to sing that '28 years' song?

It was as soft a penalty as City were on the receiving end of on Saturday. C'est la vie (unless you're a United fan and therefore giving a penalty against them is against the law).
I can see why the ref gave it, but there wasn't as much contact second time as he probably thought.
I think United are a bit concerned about the future, I really do.
