Watto bowled a maiden (maiden wicket, actually). In a 20:20 FFS.

Deary deary me. HTF did the Paksters lose that???
Dodgy decision from Pistol but some gutsy captaincy from Pup, excellent bowling from Spud, and a handy debut from Smith got us home.
We shoulda been at least 30 short but the poor ol' Stanis contrived to choke again. A miserable end to a miserable tour for the poor buggers.

BWAHAHAHA ... well done Aus - and grateful thanks for my 200 squids opportunist win !!!!
Walked into the bookies at 11.15 this morning to put my horse bets on and saw the chaos at the MCG ... BUT ... knowing what chokers the Paks can be (second only to the Saffers) I decided to lob a tenner on the Aussies to win at 20/1 !!
FFS 20/1 in a 2 horse race ... just had to be done!
Cheers

Predictable end, you never actually expect Pakistan to win.
Pretty average effort from the Aussies considering that the ball muncher, their major reason for success in the WC was absent.
It also shows that T20 can be a bowler's game if there's life in the pitch given that the batsmen have no option but to go for it.
Tait bowled fast, probably not 160 though; his action still looks rather messy.
Good riddance to Pakistan, predictably winless. Next time they tour they should be consigned to the top end for their tests alongside the Bangers.

T20 is a betting mans game of choice. The market reacts wildly to the fall of a wicket or a boundary.

So the Aussie punters are happy, and at least one English punter is happy.

well the G knows how to put on a cricket match I think about 70,000 there.the noise unbelievable. the paks put on a good game but chocked at the end.
least they are pleasant moreso than the indians. but I did think that the pakistanis would win this......bet they go and beat up the ball muncher seeing how he was missed by them.

It's a privilege to see him at work...JGK wrote:Well that was just about the worst over that Midge has ever bowled. It was Lee-esque in its ability to take all the pressure off.

Sorry PP, knowing it's a typo I'm still nominating this for forum gold, or forum vocab.
CARANGE. As in:
Invade Zim made a beast of himself and spread CARANGE during his USA trip.
By god, that was CARANGE.
CARANGE awaits all who defy me.
CARANGE!

Fark! Why did I not wait until JGK had spoken before turning this match off? I could have made a fortune...JGK wrote:Well that was just about the worst over that Midge has ever bowled. It was Lee-esque in its ability to take all the pressure off.
Well done merls on making some money out of it.
But FFS, how did it happen?
