Aust ODI & 20/20 Squads for NZ Tour
The Twenty20 squad is:
Michael Clarke (c) (NSW)
Cameron White (vc) (VIC)
Travis Birt (TAS)
Daniel Christian (SA)
Brad Haddin (NSW)
Ryan Harris (QLD)
Nathan Hauritz (NSW)
David Hussey (VIC)
Mitchell Johnson (WA)
Shaun Marsh (WA)
Dirk Nannes (VIC)
Steven Smith (NSW)
Shaun Tait (SA)
David Warner (NSW)
Shane Watson (NSW)
The one-day international squad is:
Ricky Ponting (c) (TAS)
Michael Clarke (vc) (NSW)
Doug Bollinger (NSW)
Brad Haddin (NSW)
Nathan Hauritz (NSW)
Ryan Harris (QLD)
James Hopes (QLD)
Mike Hussey (WA)
Mitchell Johnson (WA)
Shaun Marsh (WA)
Clint McKay (VIC)
Adam Voges (WA)
Shane Watson (NSW)
Cameron White (VIC)
Predictable lack of imagination from Hilditch although there is no doubt the sides are good enough to beat the Sheep Shaggers.
I thought perhaps Bailey or Klinger were more deserving choices than Voges but as we all know, its harder to get dropped from the Aust side than it is to get in.
You also have to wonder what Doherty has to do to get a gig. 18 wickets at an average of 20 in the Franger Cup should have been enough imho.

Re: Aust ODI & 20/20 Squads for NZ Tour
I've been scared to say Dan Christian looks quite good because
a) it's just domestic LO stuff
and
b) well he is a barrel
but he bowls quite well and can hit a ball

BD
Voges hasn't had a chance to be dropped yet ...whatever the selectors see in him , he hasn't been given the opportunity to disprove that ...not saying that Klinger and Bailey wouldnt be worthy of selection
Doherty (and Heal) dont play enough FC cricket for the selctors to consider them above Hauritz in the JAQUNT team ...and the dubber wonderboy has been paperbagged the next spinning position anyway

Aye...another overated dubber. 2/78 with an economy rate of nearly 8 against a second rate Windies side last night.
No doubt the dubber media will be calling him the new Warne though.
