Mainly for WhatsApp (needs data) to ring the little lady, but also to catch up here, plus email.

I haven't been paying close attention to NRL for a while, any reason in particular why SOO2 is on a Sunday?

Both Ponga and Inglis out of SoO III.
Lock in a Maroon flogging of the Blues in the dead rubber as NSW go for a rare sweep (only 2 - one each - since 1998). Backs-to-the-wall-Qlder situation at its best.

The Holden State of Origin is headed to Optus Stadium to host the second match of next year's series! 🏉 ❤️ 💙
The fixture will be played on 23 June 2019, the first time an Origin match has been played outside the eastern states apart from the 1987 match in California.
Further information regarding event ticketing will be released in the coming weeks! 🎫

Re: State of Origin Thread
Classic Origin game.
Two dumb forwards cost the Blues the match after an amazing defensive effort. Tariq Sims gave away a penalty while in possession that lead to Holmes' levelling try. Then derr merchant Herman Klemer tripped Ben Hunt as we looked certain to score. Idiots.
I think the maggots forgot there were two teams, given the horrendous penalty count to Qld.
Oh well, a series win will have to do. Damn, those sweeps are hard to achieve.
Congrats to Billy Slater on a magnificent rep career. A fitting end for him.

So 2-1 qld if you ignore the horrendous Reffing in game 2. I'll take that.

Qlders are only ever happy when the penalty count is a Barry Gomersall-like 10-2 to the Toads.

Re: State of Origin Thread
Is it our fault the cockroaches are such filthy, lying, cheating qunts. Though I spose that's the only thing that's kept them competitive since they crawled from beneath whichever rock they were spawned under.

Re: State of Origin Thread
It was a great game by Queensland, especially Slater and Munster ... in my view, NSW were seriously flattered by the final scoreline.
Queensland played passing, running, tackling rugby. The roaches onsistently delivered head-high stiff-arm tackles, sat on the ball-player for what seemed like half an hour to delay each QLD play-the-ball, and held, blocked or tripped players in the attacking zone. They somehow evaded about 90% of the penalties that should have been awarded against them. The cockroaches were very fortunate that Slater bobbled that early leaping try effort; also that that cynical blocking effort on Slater in the in-goal area was not punished with a penalty try. NSW's first try was a very fortunate intercept against the run of play. I thought their second try was the only proper attack NSW delivered.
A more realistic result (given decent refereeing) would have been 36 - 6. I hope the referees watch the match again from start to finish and in future do something about NSW's habitually repulsive tackling and play-slowing.
