According to Fox advertising it's on at 9.30pm tomorrow.
BTW, Swann thinks it's the current cricketers, not the soccer players who are the 'golden generation'.

Yes, starts at 1pm our time - an hour and a half earlier than the other day nighters.
It'll be a day/day game under floodlights basically.

If they win the Ashes in Australia and the World Cup next year then I'd be inclined to agree with him.Red wrote:Nath wrote:skully wrote:Ugh. Mercifully, this appears to be a Day-Nighter, meaning I won't have to torture myself by watching any of it other than perhaps the closing overs.

Of course, those are rather big "ifs", and I don't expect England to achieve either. I think we should do better than in previous years at the World Cup though, but that's not exactly a difficult target...

Re: England v Australia, 4th ODI, The Oval, June 30, 2010
I've been away...
Bit puzzled by the scoreline, England leading 3-0 with team looking a bit suspect. In fairness Collingwood, Pietersen & Morgan are a pretty handy middle order and Swann's bathed in gold but all else... Strauss wouldn't be in the team if he wasn't captain, Kieswetter's wearing learning plates, Broad and Jimmikins are perenial on and off performers and in another world Bresnan, Yardy and Wright would be kocking on the all-time pretty f*cking average England xi.
Still got to laugh but I haven't been able to complain about the England team since oooh must be the Headingley test last summer. Oh well at least we can patronise the Aussies when they win a dead rubber or two...the little ugly trains that could etc.

From dickinfo:
12.25pm Brydon Coverdale, another Cricinfo has been watching the Aussies warm-up and has spotted a returning figure. "Mitchell Johnson was having a bowl in the nets earlier, to Shaun Marsh. He looked like he's over his elbow infection. He should be well and truly right for the two T20s against Pakistan." How Australia have missed him in this series.
Sad but true.

So similar pattern - England win the toss and field. I imagine that'll mean I'll be getting up to a 4-0 series scoreline.

From cricinfo
12.35pm England have won the toss and will field. England go in with an unchanged team and adopt and unchanged gameplan. Australia too are unchanged and Ponting, flinty-eyed as ever, understandably wants to see more from his batsmen.
Surely they mean 'squinty'

Same teams.
If England lose this one I presume they'll bring in Shazzer for the last game.

I'll have a watch for 90 minutes of so (currently 9.45 pm), JKL. We'll probably be doing OK at 1-70 after 15 overs then I'll get up to hear of some comical carnage that occurred.JKLever wrote:skully wrote:So similar pattern - England win the toss and field.
