It might be a good thing for you but you can't just walk out the door when you have kids, a shared home, common friends etc.
Fair point JGK, though i'm still all for Brexit.

We do need to make it clear to Spain that if they ever want Gibraltar back they’re going to have to take it by force, though...
The Spanish hypocrisy about Gibraltar is staggering when you consider their stance on Ceuta.

Methinks the Spanish PM is grandstanding to a domestic audience.taipan wrote:beamer wrote:It’s just a question of which “corrupt” power we’re answerable to... if not Brussels, it will eventually be Washington, Moscow or Beijing, as others have pointed out. Mistaken identify, I'm afraid I don't do negs anymore. The 86 I've given have remained static for years and will forever remain so. They were mostly given in retaliation to another poster but I'm not arsed about such things these days. You barely register with me to be honest mate.whitburn wrote:I see Vikky has been hitting the sook button to get my rating down. Keep going sunshine, if such things brighten your day i'm all for it.
I'm glad you want to brighten my day though, you haven't really succeeded as of yet but I appreciate the sentiment. All the best to you too. I hope life treats you well.

Life's too short for grudges, particularly a randomer on an internet forum. I'm sure he's nice to his Mum.

Says the bloke who still lives with his mum at 33 and hasn't even got round to buying his own house yet. I bought my first house before i was 20 pal and yes my mum is very special having raised 7 of us on a miner's wage and what she could make for us. Calling Bairstow a f*ckwit was pretty dumb and you still haven't got a clue about politics.

Tetchy! You are a randomer on an internet forum, having a house before you were 20 doesn't change that. Wasn't an attack at you.whitburn wrote:vilkrang wrote:Life's too short for grudges, particularly a randomer on an internet forum. I'm sure he's nice to his Mum.

And I rent a lovely flat by myself in Chorlton, thank you very much.
We will see with regards to Brexit. Forecasts show that whatever deal/no deal we get (and it's not going to get much better than the one we have seeing as our bargaining position is the weaker one) will cost the country billions over the next generation and will significantly harm our GDP.
I would love to be wrong, because otherwise, working class people like your Mum will die in their droves.

So another Minister resigns. This one wants another referendum arguing the Poms now know what Brexit means.
What are the polls saying?

Re: UK politics thread
2 years of negotiations to reach a point where in reality we could be stuck in the EU forever because of the back stop disaster. May knows this will probably be thrown out and a remainer like her will then see that one way or another we stay in.
Getting a remainer to see this through was like asking a guy on acid to tell you the safest way to cross the road. We needed someone who actually believed in Brexit to DO Brexit.
Myself and the firm i work for are more than happy with no deal and we would relish more trade with the rest of the planet. The media constantly harping on about ''crashing out'' is pathetic left wing bias. We voted to crash out if people insist on calling it that so let's crash and get it over with.

Unless you find being left wing worse than f*cking children, of course.

Isn't that the problem? When you look closely and work out how hard it is, no one in power actually believes in it - particularly if they want to get re-elected.

I see Ugly Patel stupidly threatened Ireland with food blockades.
The dumb fascist does not know the Pomgolia are reliant on food imports from free Ireland.
