If a batsman scores runs legally which in this case Sehwag did, why can't he get the credit for it?
Also, if they took that no-ball into account, they got to take the shot played into account as well. Because had he been run out on that delivery, he'd have been adjudged as out. So if he can be dismissed on that delivery why can't his runs be credited to his account?
No ...he wouldnt have been run out ...the game is over and the ball becomes dead as soon as enough runs are scored to satisfy the conditions of a result ...no matter what else happened on the ball the no ball penalty couldnt be revoked so the game is over
If it was a wide that he was subsequently stumped from ...the stumping wouldnt count because the ball would have been dead
Sanga wants the rule changed so in these circumstances a batsman can have run(s) accredited to him to secure his ton regardless of it being a no ball. Surely though batsmen can't have it both ways. They get the benefit of not being able to be dismissed if only one is required so too bad that the run doesn't stand. In any case in these circumstances, the partner of the one seeking a ton who may be only on a meagre score often sacrifices runs to aid his colleague so just like Murali's partner bowling innocuously, it's not always a true reflection of the game anyway.

HTF is that "adjusted" in the scorebook?
What Randiv did was within the laws of the game, and, as no one down on the sub continent seems to give a f**k about "the spirit of the game" unless it suits them and their particular team, then WTF moan about it?
Hypocrisy IMO ... just get the f**k on with it and move on.
PS - If I were Randiv, I certainly would not have apologised to Sehwag ... let the bugger brew on it ... might bag him cheaply next match after reminding him about the failed ton ...!
I agree. It isn't much of a ton anyway if you only get there because your partner is disrespecting the other team by deliberately not scoring. If you get a ton that way, good luck to you but don't complain if the opposition says get farked.
And if those comments attributed to Sanga are true, he is a twit.

Looks like SLC has ordered an inquiry over this affair. They've asked for uncensored version of the events.
Personally, I find this way OTT. Forget it and worry about things which are far more urgent.

Absolute travesty.
A forelock tipping appeasement from the SLB for the deep pocketed Big Brother BCCI.

You may be correct , Merls ...but it's a bit sad that a team actually does more than pay lip service to "the Spirit of Cricket" (albeit in response to some of their players treating it like taccy on a goat) and that the reaction we have to the decision is to blame it on BanIndia

It's not unusual, I remember the Bangles doing something similar to prevent Gibbs getting 4 in a row,
