Re: The Australian Federal Election 2010 Thread (III)
Still a rough chance that the Good Guys can jag 74 or even 75 seats, with postal votes and absentees to be counted in a couple of very close ones. Come back Kevie, all is lost.

Greens look like winning an ACT seat.Invader Zim wrote:Greens need to win a territory seat (ACT or NT) to have the balance of power before 1 July 2011.

Fark. The Greens looking like having 9 senators. Although the ACT one looks like going to the Libs. Which means Abbott will have his way until June 30 (as Zimi said).

From the AEC site, Informal votes total 587,429 nationwide, or 5.68%. And that's just the lower house, where you might need to number 10 or 12 candidates at the most/

50.3 Coalition
Howard got 49.02% in 1998 and yet won easily...it's a funny thing.

Looks increasingly like the Katter/Windsor/Oakeshott Indie block will be a very powerful force for country Aus in the next 18 months or so.

Good News! Steve Fielding seemingly out of the Senate on his arse. Looks like he has scraped up 0.1883 of a quota. Marginally ahead of the Sex Party.
