Re: Pom & Swampy sacked for drinking

Marsh & Pomersbach Investigation Complete
20/11/2007
The WACA has completed an investigation into the breach of team rules by batsmen Shaun Marsh and Luke Pomersbach.
Marsh will not be considered for selection until the Warriors' Ford Ranger Cup match against the Tasmanian Tigers in Hobart on 1 December. Pomersbach will not be considered for selection until the Warriors' Pura Cup match against the South Australian Redbacks at the WACA Ground from 14 to 17 December.
Meanwhile, the WACA's State Match Committee have selected a 12-man squad for the Retravision Warriors' Pura Cup match against the South Australian Redbacks, beginning this Friday at the Adelaide Oval.
There are four changes to the team which defeated Queensland by an innings and 170 runs in the Warriors' last Pura Cup fixture. Paceman Ben Edmondson returns to the side after missing the past two first-class matches due to a slight hamstring strain, and he will be joined by left-arm spinner Aaron Heal, batsman Liam Davis and all-rounder Theo Doropoulos. The latter two in line to make their Pura Cup debuts for the Retravision Warriors.
They replace Marsh and Pomersbach, plus all-rounder David Bandy and paceman Trent Kelly.
Opening batsman Chris Rogers has also been named in the squad after recovering from stomach cramps which kept him out of last week's Ford Ranger Cup match against Queensland and tomorrow's one-day encounter against the Redbacks.
23-year old Davis has played one limited-overs match for WA - an ING Cup match against South Australia in January 2006 - and has 333 runs at 47.57 in the 2007-08 Retravision Shield competition after moving from Scarborough to Bayswater-Morley over the winter.
He has also been the leading batsman for the WA Second XI over the past two summers, and kicked off this season's Cricket Australia Cup campaign with a knock of 143, including 24 boundaries, in the match against the QAS at Floreat Oval.
Play gets under way at 10.30am CDST on Friday with stumps scheduled for 5.30pm CDST. The match will be broadcast live on 90.5 Sport FM from Midday Friday, 9am Saturday and 9am Sunday, and from 9am Monday on Cockburn Sound 91.3 FM.

I was more intrigued by the Rudd "I will" / Howard "I won't" advertisement.
Clever spin ... once used by a goon called Anthony Blair in Britain's Dark Ages of the 90's.
Let's hope Rudd fares a lot better than the liar - both in honesty and in keeping his integrity.
