And who knows, we may well need Jimmy to defend grimly towards the end of the Brisbane test....

Or hit the winning runs.
That would be assuming Aus can make the United nations of Pomgolia bat twice.

Strauss goes early. Opening partnership remains a concern.
I wouldn't mind it if Bell opens with Strauss, with Morgan batting at six.

Not completely surprisingly, it seems that nearly all of our top six are out of form. FFS.

Pietersen out. FFS. They all seem to be getting out to the cut shot.
Thank God we have two more games before the first test.

I just hope that this is the wakeup call England needed. If we think we now just have to turn up to win the ashes we are sadly mistaken.

This England performance reminds of their first couple of games in the 86/7 tour when they got thrashed by Qld and maybe SA.
Of course they then humbled us in the Test series.

Swanny and Broad with a quickfire partnership. England Declare, I assume hoping to bowl WA out cheaply and have another crack with the bat.

Now now Trev, weren't you having a dig at Aussies turning their backs on their team earlier today?
The Ashes might turn into a "God we are sh!t"-athon.

It's been an issue simmering and bubbling along for how long though? Past 10 years?
