Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XI)
A fair call.
bl has some family issues but didn't want to make a big deal about it (PMed me after his last post), but he deserves to be wished well.

Worthy of repeating in this thread...
Latest Morgan Poll has LNP at 59% - Labor at 41% - 2PP.
Labor primary vote - 26.5%.
163 more days of linseed oiling the baseball bat.

Actually I've been in and out of the country and contracted a nasty tropical disease. A week in hospital and a week's bed rest (due to mrs qmy kicking the shit out of me) followed by mrs qmy deciding I needed to get away for a while so she chartered a yacht once the weather cleared and i am currently in Port Douglas waiting to heave ho.
She made sure there were no non essential computers on board. Though we do have a TV and I get to see that Japanese kid from the Rangers go within one pitch of a perfect game.

No, it's so low ... must be the old 'rusted on' component of the vote actually dying before they breed replacements, or maybe the low jobless rate is actually hurting JGs vote? Just never thought the 'core vote' of a major party would or could drop so low.

Latest Morgan Poll
I fudged just a smidge. 26.5% is actually the Primary vote for Labor amongst men (which is still pretty amazing, and grouse). Amongst women it's 33% (see right most column in link above) so overall the Pinko Primary vote is actually 30%.
If you check the trends in that table, it seems Juliar's Hillary Clinton make-over pepped up the chicks' votes for Labor just a little but had the opposite effect on men.

5 months and 5 days, and Albo is adamant they will win, because he reckons they have the better NBN (you know, the uncosted, open cheque book one). Do people really GAF about the NBN? I think they care more about the massive waste of money.

150 days to go. The Vulture is pulling out the big guns now, but as always, they are hastily thrown together poorly detailed policies.

It won't change many votes
But the NBN is popular
Remember how you guys were all about wireless technology back in the 2010 campaign and three years later you realise that fibre and cables is the way to go.
