She's gone from us. Cricket is dead to her now. We have to come to terms with it. It's horses all the way from here on in.

I used to read her posts on the Channel 4 forum back then. A person of gentle manners - a rarity.

As I said, never too far away though, it has been 10 years and I do wonder what most of you are up to. Mynah's passing is, I'm sure, way more a loss to her family and friends but as a female forummer and cricket fan she was a good cricket enthusiast role model. I don't know how many there are out there.

Well, quite. It sort of entrenches the view that cricket is "a man's game" - not only in the playing, but the watching, and interest. Ladies to make teeeea.

I think that was part of my small sorrow expressed previously that your interest had petered out long ago. Don't tell anyone, but I'm a bit intimidated by a world of men's clubs, stale tobacco and beer and stale wee-ey trousers, full of fishing tales and "Remember when we were back in Indiaaah, Carruthers?".

I suppose. I'm still crickety in that i still know the game and the game's history, but I'm not devoted. I mean, I was DEVOTED to cricket. Probs healthy it's evened out.

Saying I feel sad is an understatement. Saying that she was still too young for this only sinks in the mortality of it all of our stressful lives. She was so lively, cheerful and wonderfully optimistic humorous lass. It seems like yesterday when we exchanged emails and wrote regularly. Except I realize suddenly now that we haven't e-mailed each other in a year and half now and I didn't bother to keep in touch. I wasn't there exchanging notes and keeping up with her as a forum friend when the dark times knocked her door. I didn't accept her facebook invitation only because I didn't take it seriously enough. Now I feel like I let her down. I will never get a cheerful e-mail from her again.

Why do we stop communications with good people for long only to wake up one find day to the fact that the person is now lost forever?

Its a tremendous loss to the forum goes without saying. But to lose a genuinely good human a being as her, what can I say for her family, close friends and the world at large full of pretenders where such really honest and reliable people get lesser in numbers?

I don't know what to say. I feel suddenly a terrible loss a tear for someone I never met in real life but whose goodness I have felt and experienced through words that always came form her heart. I feel.......I dunno. I am stumped and I am not finding the words to express myself suddenly. This is completely ****** unfair from the heavens above.

How did you find out Taipan? There isn't anything on her FB page where You can make anything out after Dec 2012. I still keep hoping theres been a terrible mistake somewhere.......

There is more than that on her Facebook page. I am not the only one who has seen it.

Maybe one needs to be on her friends list to see it all. Either way it won't change anything now. She is but a memory now. A soul that touched us all too briefly and left......You at least maybe had a chance to meet her so maybe you and Hilda were luckiest here to know her!

I can see her page now fully. The bit about her memorial service being hit by rains makes sense. The heavens themselves wept at the passing away of such a fine soul.

Came to know about this dreadful news today morning when Vikas informed me. Goodness me! I'm just speechless, shocked, unable to express my grief! How could the sweet lady chirping like a mynah be no more among us?

Was she having some health problem? Anyone knows how did this happen?

Wherever you are Mynah, you'll always remain in our heart. May your soul rest in peace!

I think it was cancer Chandan.

Ironically when my and Chandan's C4 ids were hacked and I was being accused of stalking and abusing Chandan by the hacker, apart from embee, only Mynah was the one who believed the truth was what I said and didn't give in to the atmosphere of suspicion surrounding the two of us. She was that kind yes, ready to trust always with no malice in her heart for anyone. R.I.P friend. World is that much poorer.

Actually I still can't believe that Mynah is not among us anymore. I'm just shattered.

Remember all that was good about her and cherish her posts, and move on we must.
