But f*ck me I'm glad it's just about over. I've been hearing numerous platitudes and speculations of retirement since 2006. It's a relief. It's like someone's been screaming "WIBBLE" in my ear for the best part of 8 years and finally it has stopped.

BCCI must hold back their WI payout. Not only did they not drop SRT's catch and help him get a farewell 100, they also did not give him a second chance to make amends..........  

MOM and Series Sharma? Or will SRT be given a token MOM award?

Sharma is lucky he got such a great side to debut against who did not test him much. Helped him equal Ganguly for two 100s on debut. How he must wish there were 3 tests so he could equal Azhar as well.

I have a sneaking feeling Sharma will find SA a very hot place to tour....

Even the umpires have given up and extended lunch break by 15 mins expecting this to end soon....
Would be fun if the duo put up 200 record runs for last wicket. Wishful thinking....

Umpires heave a sign of relief. They can collect their bonus and head home early to party.....

In retrospect I thank BCCI for organizing this run making farce and saving the master the embarrassment of failing in SA in his last test tour possibly. But now that all our bats made hay on these roads in T20 mode, they may have just find adapting to SA conditions suddenly that much harder. Playing tests in T20 mode on roads at home and suddenly having to watch the ball on grassy wickets............The first test at Durban looks ominous to me.

Got up early to watch this - massive speech by Sachin, but it was all good. He handles himself with such dignity and composure. Dravid's choking up. So is Ganguly. So is Dhoni. This has been as good as most of the match. Great man.
