Huh?
Less than what attended the BB last night according to the figure announced on ABC radio. Lots of perceptible gaps too just watching from the sofa.
How many were there last night?
Looks about 40000 here.
Nearly 43,000 at Melbourne's secondary venue.

Right. So hardly a disappointing crowd here though.

James Stutterland said he was ambivalent about Australia's performance here because they have to refund the pre-sales for tomorrow.

Right. So hardly a disappointing crowd here though.
Would have thought day three, Jane McGrath day and possibly the final day of the test they might have got a full house. They had comfortably over 60k on day three in Melbourne.
All over now!

When was the last time an ashes test was over in three days?

Probably underrated given the Johnson hype though his five here are probably easier than he might have got in some time; he just had to bowl full and straight and they succumbed!

The most weak, spineless, pathetic display from an England team I've ever seen.
Well done Australia.

You wonder how the vanquished Cook might be feeling. Really no excuse for a three day surrender regardless of how well Australia bowled. After all our top order failed twice too. Most of the English should hang their heads in shame.
Stokes their bright spot. Inauspicious debuts for Rankin and Ballance though the latter has youth on his side of course.
Mitch for MOTS.

Correction, we made day 4 in that one, so it would be T4 in the 06-07 series.

Agree. This Aussie team rose to the occasion but given our weaknesses with the bat the margin looks exaggerated and there's no excuse for a three day surrender. And Bailey just admitted they expected to have them five down tonight.

Man, I can't believe I'm sitting here near the end of Day 3 of T5 and we've won the Ashes back 5-0.
Un-ferkin-believable.
