Federer has not beaten Nadal in a slam since 2007. That is how much he has been dominated by the Spaniard.

But Nadal has been below par, clearly hampered by his palm - no way he can play normally with that kind of palm. Federer has been playing the best he has in a long time, some inspired tennis. His movement is good, and of course the ability is still there. This is his best chance.

There is an India vs Pakistan match in the mixed doubles quarter finals.

PMSL. The Chief has just let out a loud "FFS" (well, as near as she gets to one - "Aw, For Gawd's Sake"). Seven played out to a break with a montage of Eugenie Bouchard (currently getting snotted by Li Na) backed by the theme from "I Dream of Jeannie"!!   

Looks like Rafa is going to be the most hated man in Switzerland by Sunday night.

Nadal - Becker says he can't see how he can play with a hand like that. He is majorly handicapped. His serve, his game is all affected. Hard to see him getting past Fed ...

Is it just me, or is the pint-sized Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova not eminently smashable??

He could get past Fed playing right handed, such is his utter dominance over the man.

If it still hasn't healed by the final then it could be a good match against Wawrinka although I'd still expect Nadal to come through.

Fed looks a broken man. He knows he can't beat Rafa any more and I wonder if this is the last time we'll see him in Oz.
