According to Fox News the McCain delegates (it was a caucus election like Iowa) were told to vote for Huckabee so Romney wouldn't win. It seems it is McCain screwing Romney.

The Goats voted for Mrs. Clinton today but not so sure if I remain loyal to her in November assuming she gets the nomination. I may vote for McCain then. For Mrs. Goat its Hill all the way to the white house - l think a solidarity thingy for womens cause Smile

California is a huge make or break state today for the donkeys and IMO will decide the ultimate nominee.

They were saying that a vote for Hucks was a vote for McCain. And so on.

BTW Obama is making as if he expects a long fight. He has just said that 'Hillary was always the leader, but we are closing and will go beyond this' or some such.

Got it a bit wrong, not like Iowa at all, West Virginia is decided by state convention (rather like a party conference) with a few hundred party delegates deciding on the basis of elimination ballot until one candidate got 50% +1. On the first ballot Romney came first, Huckabee second, McCain third and Ron Paul fourth and eliminated. However before the second ballot which should have had three candidates the McCain campaign HQ which was in California rang the McCain delegates and told them to withdraw and vote for Huckabee and deny Romney victory (presumably it was winner-takes-all). This they did. Hope I've got the right story now. Apologies for my previous error. Evidently Huckabee will throw his weight behind McCain when he eventually withdraws.

As McCain's supporters were by GWB's campaign tactics in 2000.

Can you imagine this happening in Britain, btw. Candidates spending large amounts of money to become Leader or Deputy Leader of their party. Errr...Yes. flower

Furriner, it's a personal thing, one mans meat is another man's poison etc. I just found the way it went on and on a a bit strange. But each to their own, hence I never said anything before.
And that's the crux of the matter.

That and the fact he gets his news from the ‘Fox News’, surely an oxymoron if there ever was one.

For repubs, too close to call.

Although 'experts' suggesting confidently that 'it is now clear' that McCain it will win the Repub nomination, based on the Huckabee Romney logjam.

Not really surprised, I have noticed that Fox tends to drop ideology predicting elections when the elections are actually happening. Very Happy

Beside which a lot of these predictions ('CNN Poll', 'Fox Poll' etc)are based on network contracted pollsters who have to think of future contracts.

I watch Fox too. Mainly because I enjoy a laugh.

There's nothing wrong with watching Fox, as long as you realise how ridiculously biased it is. I'm sure Allan D does.
