Explaining the ECB's coaching system?:

If Jimmy was tutored, he wouldn't be pushing anyone around.

At least Ballance is in fine form:

Looks a bit scuffed for the outfield... now, where's the pitch?

England win toss and bowl.
Both sides unchanged.

Hot and sunny today and tomorrow. If India aren't in too bad shape at lunch, England could seriously regret putting them in.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Lords, 17-21 July, 2014
Yep, need 2 possibly 3 back in the hutch to justify bowling first at Lord's! Strange decision .....
Anyway, I'm there tomorrow, Sunday and Monday . . . unless it heads towards a bore draw.

Dhawan on a green pitch... Pujara might as well wait by the boundary.

Gotta agree with him this time:
Cricinfo wrote:England should not expect any favours from Mick Hunt, the Lord's groundsman, who is fiercely protective of his ground. He produces what he wants and how he wants to using his wealth of experience. No chuntering fast bowlers or pleading spinners are going to change his mind. MCC, too, see it as a key part of the independence that they do not talk of home advantage even for the home team.
So, they hate a competitive pitch, as can be seen above. Must've taken one helluva begging from the ECB to change the pitch to something more lively.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Lords, 17-21 July, 2014
Broad to Vijay, no run, dropped, Broad has been striving for that outside edge all over, he gets it this time, a feather through to the keeper, Prior has to dive to his right, that was a low chance, Prior gets a glove on it but puts it down, not the easiest chance but should have been taken, Vijay was dropped on 0 at Trent Bridge as well
Drop him.
Drop him.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Lords, 17-21 July, 2014
It's still going to be a road once the green goes though. He probably saw the abuse the TB pitch received and thought he'd at least make it interesting for the first day.

What I don't get is where's the accountability? We're now having them seeing off the new ball, when they could've been 2 down with REAL pressure on them. This is the sort of ineptitude that is dicking us smack dab in the shitbox. Our fielding hasn't improved, it's in the same un-drilled, wanky malaise as it has been for a year and a half. What the f*ck is Chris Taylor doing, apart from sitting on the balcony looking bored? Bull f*cking shit.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Lords, 17-21 July, 2014
Bowlers have not really been great today despite the score. Doesn't help that when there is a chance, it gets dropped.

What's the point at following these piece of shits when you know that it's going to be 50/50 that a chance will get dropped when it goes to the keeper or 1st slip. What an utter pair of inept pricks 'the think tank' are.
But yeah, you're right, pretty shitty lengths and lines for the big time charlies who've finally got some conditions that suit. Just like the start of the 1st and 2nd innings against SL at Headingley. New ball wasting pricks.
I'm done with the lot of them. Jimmy, Broad, Prior and Cook can f*ck off. They're living off memories.

Just showed some catching stats about Prior. 49 catches and 14 drops in the past year
