Herath- Best (non-chucking) spinner in world cricket. And nobody ever talks about him. Massively underrated bowler.

Everyone knows it's raw pace and mystery spin that does for 8-11. There's so little of either around these days. It's almost worth having a 90mph man in there for the sole purpose of cleaning up the tail with the one straight ball he can bowl per over, given the resilience of tailenders these days.

In England, Stuart Meaker is the best at cleaning up the tail.
Barely on the radar.

Even Prasad's wicket could, and probably should, easily have been given not out.Henry wrote:skully wrote:Are you watching this Trev? Or just going on the Dickinfo commentary?
A decent tail wag.
Cricinfo. Can't be f*cked getting bombarded by pop ups trying to watch the dodgy link. What am I missing? Are Pakistan actually bowling exceptionally without luck?

Utterly bizarre wicket. Kaushal Silva again showing he's the best silly point/ short leg fielder around. Dickwella gets the catch, but that was brilliant by Silva.
fwiw, twas a forward defence onto the boot by Younis. Silva caught it but looked like he had a run out flick to the keeper.

Pakistan all out for 332, a lead of 12.
Herath finishes with 9/127 & becomes just the 18th player to take 9 or more wickets in an innings.

Just a classy, old fashioned left arm bowler, Herath.

I reckon Pakistan will struggle to chase anything over 200.

So by my reckoning Mahela needs 90 to avoid being the first 10 000 man to retire with an average less than 50

What's that got to do with being a very good slow left arm bowler?
