2008 Australian Tennis Open
Little Lleyton Hewitt in the shape of his life, loses his 2nd round match in the Sydney International.
It's going to be a long summer.
Can anyone stop Federer and Henin in their respective campaigns?
let's hope Ana Ivanovic makes it all the way to the last game, she is stunning.

The thing is, I don't mind cute russian chicks making grunting and groaning noises in porn, but it's very off-putting when they do it on the festivennis court.Invader Zim wrote:If it wasn't for the cute russian chicks...
And then there's a whole raft of butt-ugly tennis players who I'd rather not hear grunt or groan in any way.

Nalbandian has the wood on him. I think he's beaten Federer the last 3 times they have met.
The Fed-Express has had poor preperation coming into this tournament, so I think he'll really have a battle on his hands. Richard Gasquet and Andy Murray are also in with a real chance.

Re: 2008 Australian Tennis Open
Everyone's tipping Murray over here, despite the fact Federer's in the competition. Watch them build him up and then knock him right back down. They love doing it.
Murray has got a brilliant draw though. Tsonga first up, who I like the look of. He played a bit like Sampras when I saw him. Sampras divided by 1,000, but still a bit like Sampras. Murray should despatch him comfortably.
After that it's likely to be Brzezicki and then Chela, then (here's where it gets tougher) Gasquet, then Davdydenko.
Then probably Nadal or Roddick in the semis and then Federer or Djokovic in the final.
He couldn't really have asked for a better draw. Avoids all the really big guns until as late as possible. If he doesn't make the quarters, it'll be a let down.

Damn it, Jankovic wins in a two hour final set.
Most women matches go for an hour.

Would it be disappointing if he didn't make the 2nd round?

Can anyone bear to watch this bunch of preprogrammed robots all playing exactly the same tennis?
Wwhich is very ironic, considering my birthplace.

Re: 2008 Australian Tennis Open
Have to agree taips. I find tennis to be one of the most boring sports to watch these days. And this coming from a bloke who used to happily sit up and watch Wimbledon semis and Finals until the wee hours as a teenager.taipan wrote:Can anyone bear to watch this bunch of preprogrammed robots all playing exactly the same tennis?
