Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
This article suggests 6-7 years have passed since episode 1:
https://screenrant.com/game-thrones-how-much-time-passed/
So Arya’s probably about 17 or 18 in the show now. (Her on-screen sister was married twice by that age, and then there’s the Freys...) Maisie Williams, who plays her, is 22 - she does come across as younger than that though.

S08E02. Finally got to see it tonight after returning to the land of technology. Slowish but with some important stuff.
- Spoiler:
- - Winterfell accepts Jaime after Brienne vouches for him.
- Bran is ambivalent about Jaime's apology for crippling him, saying he's not angry at anyone, and tells him he's no longer Bran.
- Daeny and Sansa have an uneasy truce but Sansa makes it clear that the North will bow to no-one if they survive.
- Theon returns to Winterfell to the delight of Sansa, saying he will fight for his old family and home. He is given the job of defending Bran, who declares that he must be used as bait for the Night King.
- Tormund and the boys arrive at Winterfell from the Wall. Tormund is still hot for Brienne.
- With the likelihood of death awaiting, Arya decides she wants to know what this sex business is about and jumps Gendry's bones.
- Jaime knights Brienne, who is clearly moved by the gesture.
- Jon breaks the news to Daeny that he is really Aegon Targaryen. She is disbelieving and shocked, then unhappily says that makes him legitimate heir to the Iron Throne.
- The Night King and his dead army arrive on the horizon, as the Battle of Winterfell awaits.

The Battle of Winterfell is just 20 minutes away.

So one theory is that only part of the white walkers will attack Winterfell so when the humans win, the rest will be half way to Cersei.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
S08E03. Well, that was ferkin epic!!!
- Spoiler:
- As expected, the Night King's forces were way too strong for the Winterfell faithful, despite much fire from Daeny's dragons. It's pretty hard when the King can resurrect newly fallen good guys to bolster his side!! Also, Daeny nuked him with Drogon fire to no effect!!!
Many good guys died, but just after the Night King speared Theon and was about to skewer Bran (as well as the zombies about to take out everyone in the crypt), Arya comes out of the darkness, resists a choke hold by the King, catches her dropped Valyrian steel dagger (that Bran gave her way back) and stabs the Night King in the guts. He crumbles, as does his army and the undead dragon Viserion that was about to torch Jon. Don't might admitting to a "Hell yeah!!"
Earlier, Melisandre had told Arya that the Lord of Light had bought back Beric to save Arya (which he did in the basement of the castle) for this purpose. Arya even told Melisandre that she says "Not today" to the the Gods of Death.
Melisandre, who had given valiant magical support to the good guys, walks out in to the snow, takes off her red stoned necklace and dies of old age. Nice touch.
Survivors - Jon, Daeny, Arya, Bran, Sansa, Tyrion, Varys, Davos, The Hound, Missandei and one of Daeny's dragons - Drogon I think (not sure if the other died yet). Not sure about Sam, Gilly, Tormund, Brienne, Gendry and Jaime. Jorah, Beric, Theon, Edd, Grey Worm and Lady Mormont definitely bit the dust.
So the North survives to confront Cersei and her bought army.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
Apparently*...
- Spoiler:
- ...Jon's direwolf Ghost and Daeny's dragons Rhaegal and Drogon survived, along with Jaime, Brienne, Gendry, Sam, Gilly and, contrary to what I thought I saw, Grey Worm (could've sworn he was one of the dead Unsullied that was reanimated by the Night King), along with those I listed above, so says this article. Nothing about Tormund.
Oh, and the Ep MVP was clearly Arya.

Wished I was watching on a cinema screen really, how to make a 49” TV seem like an iPhone Can see why people complained about the lighting given the variety of devices people watch on, I thought ahead and played around with my TV settings ahead of watching...
An epic, non-stop episode as expected. Thought we would lose more big (and medium sized) characters, and expected the White Walker army to make it to King’s Landing in some form or other, which won’t happen now unless there’s an unexpected twist... but now there’s the small matter of dealing with Cersei and co. and the destiny of the Iron Throne. Still not sure if it will be GRRM’s ending or Benioff and Weiss’s... and the world may never know unless he finishes the books (even if he does, he might change it if the TV ending isn’t well received...)

Arya doing cersei, I'd pay to see you that. And I thought the imp would've been favourite.

Maybe Arya, Jaime and Tyrion will all stab the bitch to death together, singing "Happy Birthday".
And agree with MrK, little Lady Mormont was awesome.

I would have thought Sansa should be the one to crunch Cersei but I don't see what reason Sansa would have to go South.

I'm going to watch it again tonight with a different brightness setting. I freaking hated the parts with the mist in particular.
And now I've had a chance to think about it all, I am probably a little underwhelmed. Lighting aside, the ep was nowhere near as brilliant as battle of the bastards or even battle of hardhome. And for all the 8 seasons of waiting for winter to come, and the white walkers to swarm the land, they don't even make it past Winterfell.
Also, WTF thought it was a good idea to send all the Dothraki off into the dark with no support?
Other thoughts - has Dany now been effectively dealt out of the series? Sure she has the dragons (although John seems to have commandeered one of them) but no Dothraki nor Unsullied or Jorah. Plus she doesn't even have the first claim to the Iron Throne.
Similarly, if all the action now moves South, and the danger in the North over for now, what does Sansa do. I guess as Queen of the North she could head South to help gather the other families to the North's cause but she's hardly well know there.

The more I think about it, Sansa might stick Cersei with the pointy bit.

Maybe the lords of the North will throw another cat among the pigeons by proclaiming Arya as Queen given she struck the blow to save humanity...

I was going to say she might be a little bit too farked up, but then realised that was probably an essential selection condition.

Surely Sansa wants to off Cersie after all she endured at Kings Landing. I reckon that would be a very satisfying outcome - the most satisfying since Joffrey's death.

Aye Sansa would be the most just. Then again Cersei might win.
