Captain Clueless is on Gloria spelling out what his Captain's pick election strategy would have been.
Truffles has saved the day. A Mad Monk led campaign would have led to a rout.
"truffles"? I like it. A whiffy delicacy, over-rated by a small elite, dug out of turds and the subterranean, mostly by pigs.

Really?
Aye, but it was 90 minutes ago. Have a few WA seats been declared? Things seem to have swung slightly to the Good Guys.

So looking like LNP 75 but with Katter that gives them enough.
Pinkos 70
Greens, NXT 1 each and 2 Indis.
Closer than I thought it would end up. Dan Andrews might have cost the ALP the win.

Aye, that looks about right. So 3 more years of chaos.
I wonder what chance the Super changes will get the punt in the Senate. Or will the Pinkos pass them outright in the Lower House?

It would be a bad look for the pinkos to oppose them.

Indeed, but it's almost standard these days for the Opposition (no matter who it is) to vote "No!!".
Perhaps the Pinkos will think about their own Super?

ABC now backing Hung Parliament. They reckon 74 for Tories (76 needed), 71 at most for Pinkos. Only Katter can be guaranteed for Libs, so they'd need Xenophon's MP's votes, which ain't a lay down misere.
We might have to go back to polls.
Turncoat, what a goose!!! In fact, they are declaring that Shortarse's leadership looks more secure than Truffles'. Is it ScoMo's time?

Late postals will favour the Coalition which saw the swing to the Libs in the final days.
I still say a Coalition win but Turnbull will be rolled by the right wing.
Check my post history on Turnbull and the theme has always been he lacks judgement. Why he did not go to an election straightaway is beyond me.

BTW I have been absent as I am in Japan. Anyone know a decent VPN which allows me to watch Foxtel Ho or ABC news on my iPad?

Very poor result for Turnbull. Surely the right wing faction will definitely make life tough for him. Shorten started well behind but ran a better campaign.
Had Andrews not stirred up the CFA issue during the election lead-up, things could have even looked worse for him.
Ironically apart from that, he's been a good premier getting things done.

Kudos to the Pinkos for campaigning the arse off the Tories, even if it was a pack of lies. I found it annoying that the Libs didn't yell in their ads like the Pinks, especially about boats, deficits, corrupt unions, and carbon tax lies. The L/NP media campaign was deadset boring.
The dickheads at L/NPHQ need a kick up the arse for their lame campaign strategy.

Who gets the job as speaker if LNP somehow struggles to 75 seats?

Not my nickname - First Dog on the Moon calls him that...but I like it too.
Mad Hatter for Speaker?
Delighted McGowan was returned with an increased majority against the far right extremist - Mirabella.
Delighted Jamie Briggs has bit the dust....great result.
Sad for the Mad Monk that he still has not had the checkup from the neck up and ensuing jab and dabs that he obviously needs....running on the 2014 Budget was a joke.
Truffles is safe. He has just about got them over the line which is a remarkable feat, considering the mess the MM left. The lunar right would be mad to knock him off, let alone replace him with ScumMo. Imagine having a simultaneous interpreter as PM.
Bloody hell...even Shortpants is safe, running a close 2nd.

Shorten ran a much more impressive campaign but the ALP could have gone harder at the Lib's economic credentials; their Jobson Grown simply does not stack up. Even the people running businesses will tell you that.
Malcolm Turncoat is copping it from Andrew Bolt ; he wants him to resign. It's hard to know what he stands for.

Aye, Turncoat has been a massive disappointment for Tory supporters. I know one Lib supporter (he may even post here) who is not the least surprised by how shithouse Truffles has been.

Must confess to thinking that he has always been a tad overrated. Abbott for all his faults is clearly a more savvy politician.
Turncoat often comes across as bumbling, stumbling for someone who's purported to be highly intelligent.
Shorten in contrast (while he is by no means everybody's cup of tea on the red side of politics), has been underestimated.

So what's the odds on an early election??
I can see 2 (if that) very bitter years ahead, with much vitriol and not much legislation being passed.

Barry Cassidy tipped another election last night - and sooner rather than later.
