Time for some serious climbing. I expect Froome will just wait for the attacks & just defend.

Rubbish stage, rubbish race. Porte into sixth and on course for his best grand tour finish. Yates impressive again.

Uphill time trial might be interesting:

BD and Trike - got any tips. Froome is paying 1.8 and Dumoulin about 3.3 so there must be some value somewhere else.

Baring an accident, Froome will win in a walk. Some of the climbers might make minor inroads but Froome can climb with the best of them so i can't see any real challenges.

Another top stage for Froome.

Froome looks bulletproof at this stage. Increased his lead in the uphill time trial. Porte was the other winner, reducing the gap between him & all those in front of him, bar Froome.
Massive uphill stage today will test everyone.

Having said that, Yates has ridden a hell of a race.

Meintjes has been bloody good too. Both obvious prospects, but surprising nonetheless.

France finally takes a stage with Bardet winning a crash laden stage. Both Froome & Porte came down as rain marred the steep descents however both finished with Porte moving up another place. The big loser was Dumoulin who has withdrawn with a broken wrist. He was considered favorite for the Olympic Gold in Rio for the time trial.

Another big climbing stage. Last chance for Porte to climb onto the podium.

All over. Froome solid.

Once again rain spoiled any chance of serious attacks & the pace of the peloton did'nt give Porte any chance to improve his placing. Froome only has to stay on his bike to win.

Worth saying again, utterly rubbish race. Sky are too strong for the entertainment from this race. What would be interesting is if Quintana and Froome switched teams.

Final stage today will just be a parade given the unwritten rule that the Yellow jersey is not attacked, not that anyone could catch it anyway. All the other jersey's are pretty well sewn up as well. Only thing of interest is who will officially take the final stage. it will be a sprinter, probably Sagen now that Cav has withdrawn.

Without wanting to be morbid, any chance of a terrorist attack?
