Basher Hooley's game is absolutely dependent on his kicking - if that's gone so is he. Grigg is the kind of spot-filler that even the best teams have, and the better teams make better use of, and can have an occasional 'day out'.

But there do seem to be less spuds to the square yard in this Richmond team than others recently.

Sth Melb had 3 current or future Brownlow winners in that team- and all were big blokes.

I recognise the (Andrew) Vanderfeen name, too ... ex-Clarence (TFL) giant and later Ulverstone (NWFU) stalwart, and a member of the Tasmanian AFL hall of fame. I did not know he had played in WA at all.

I dont remember him at SF ...he probably wasnt there long
