I think he should have to spend 3 years confined to the Ecuadorean embassy fighting extradition ...

There was a Richard Braine who briefly led UKIP over here (they’ve had about three leaders a week since Farage buggered off).Fred Nerk wrote:The Mensa candidate doing the JR Ewing impersonation on Pelosi's desk is one Richard Barnett.
Richard = Dick, Barnet = Head. Whodathunkit?

Why do people do this to their children?
I expect there will be a wave of Donnies hitting the US criminal classes in 14 years.

It's bitter sweet that the Orange Buffoon has been banned from Twitter.
The outright lies, and leading to the the violence on Capitol Hill can not be condoned , but the comedy value of the Tweets will be sorely missed.

LOL. Agree I will miss the unintended stupidity and hilarity of Trump posts. The problem is millions of dumb white folk swallowed the lies.
Aside from the peerless Dumpster, his Admin produced thousands of mad statements from a procession of rogues.
For me, my clear favourite was Kellyanne

Acting Homeland Security head honcho Chad Wolfe latest to hand in his WH car park pass. The HR head honcho can no longer sit at his desk and see over the top of the pile. Former 2IC Peter 'Gloria' Gaynor is the new acting acting HLSHH. With eight days to go before the Big Clearout, Sportsbet is offering evens each of two whether Pete lasts the distance.

You sound surprised, skulls. Why would they?
They haven't forgotten the $2Bn or so damage by BLM/Antifa mobs in Democrat Cities (which miraculously stopped after the election) - and the utter silence on the subject and lack of condemnation from Democrat politicians.
Yes, Trump was/is a clown - but he managed somehow to put Kim Jong-un in his box (wonder if he'll stay there), broker the first ME peace deal in 40 years, and seriously reduce the number of young soldiers coming home in flag draped coffins.
What's the betting Syria is burning again within 18 months?

A Middle East peace deal about as tissue paper thin as the Brexit trade deal, and all in Israel’s favour... only Yahoo and co. will hail it as a great achievement.
Trump will probably attack Iran on his last day in office and leave Biden with carnage to clear up from.

Maybe so - but still a stark contrast with Obama who - having accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for doing the square root of sod all proceeded to invade no less than seven countries.
Trump will not attack Iran, and you well know it.

We don’t know it. He’s deranged and unhinged and ready to lash out at someone out of spite before he is officially booted out.Growler wrote:Trump will not attack Iran, and you well know it.
At least his old mate Ramsay “World War Six” Bolton isn’t there encouraging him...
While we can’t count any chickens until they’ve come home to roost, his reduced enthusiasm for foreign intervention compared to recent predecessors has perhaps been the one positive of his reign. Although I think 9/11 excuses a lot of what Bush and Obama did, even if it proved misguided with hindsight, and proved you can’t just go in and enforce Western-style democracy on countries with very different cultures.

No argument on that, beamer.
That said, lets not forget that the enforcement of western-style democracy was always a fig-leaf of an excuse for foreign adventures. We wanted the oil, and we didn't want USSR to have access.
Nowadays, Putin's Russia doesn't need it, and neither does America for that matter. It won't stop foreign interference mind. I'll give it 18 months - 2 years before there's unrest again in Western Ukraine ... there's a fortune still to be made there in sales of GM seed.
Obama & Clinton stirred the shit there in 2014, and it didn't end well - not least because it resulted in Russia now permanently in Sevastopol. I hope to be proved wrong, but I'm far from convinced Biden has learned anything from that episode. His party was backed by serious corporate money, the price of which will be policies giving a return on it - at home or overseas.

I feel sorry for the average American voter.
Recently they were forced to choose between a slowly dementing old duffer supported by a cynical corporate America on one hand and a rapidly dementing narcissistic psychopath supported and funded by the NRA, gullible conspiracy theorists, racists, and neo-Nazis on the other. Talk about Hobson's choice. No right answers or happy endings in such circumstances, but it's truly a sick country that produces such a risible contest for the top job in the first place.

Well, this is a place that thinks universal healthcare is nasty evil Communism, as opposed to a basic human right. They’re never going to elect a Bernie Sanders. Cynical corporate America is the best we can hope for from them, and certainly less bad for the world and most Yanks than Trump’s coalition of chaos.
Biden’s certainly no saviour, but he’ll do, for now.

The saddest thing of all is that it ever came down to this choice.
I'm sure I said in 2016 that the Democratic party chose the one person in the country who couldn't beat Donald Trump. Hilary Clinton is even more repulsive, venal and corrupt than Trump.
They then ensured his win by calling 150 million potential voters sexist, racist, mysogonistic, homophobic, xenophobic ignorant shit-kicking inbred hillbillies. The vast majority weren't, of course - but voted Trump simply as a response to that vile smear.

Most of them meet at least one of those criteria
But yeah, voters don’t like being insulted, even if said insults are true. Hence also Brexit.

That's the thing beams, isn't it?
Once upon a time if people didn't agree, each thought the other was simply wrong. Now more often than not, each considers the other to have some kind of inherant character flaw which puts them beyond the pale. The irony is that most of the time, both parties want the same end result - the difference is in the way to achieve it.
Likewise, people don't like being patronised and lectured to. The classic example being climate change. Madonna, Emma Thompson, Bono and the like had a bigger carbon footprint in the last five years than I've had in my entire life. Sorry, but they don't fly across the atlantic to stand on stage telling people such as you and me to catch the bus and stop eating meat.
