So it looks like Renshaw was already in the XI and it was a toss up between Head and Handscomb and they went for Wank because he's a righthander (countering the alleged dusty square outside the leftie's off stump).
That's a massive call given the summer Head had.

guess they feel playing Murphy they don't need a 3rd off spinning option too?

Possibly a Test winning session for India. To remove Aus's 2 best bats was immense.
A lot now depends on the 2 at the wicket, because the tail is pure rubbish.

Yeah, bizarre, Nath. Head might've bowled well on this deck.

Does Alex Carey hold the record for most wicketkeeping dismissals without a stumping? Will he get one in India?

Looks like it, from Cricinfo list. Buttler has 1 stumping to 130 catches (57 Tests, but wouldn’t have kept in all of them).

Massive session for India. 6-98 in the 2 hours.
Decent counter-attack by Carey but the reverse sweep was always gonna undo him. He should've been sweeping conventionally on his dismissal ball.
Excellent bowling by Jadeja and Ashtray.

What have the selectors been smoking?
Its good to have a plan ...but if its a shit plan its a shit planÂ
Perhaps they need a coach who thinks of nothing but cricket 24/7 and cheerleads the guys in the team until they dieÂ
Looking forward to Warners reaction when he gets dropped for having a shit record outside AustraliaÂ
Â
Hope Murphy proves me wrong ...not holding my breath

We simply believe we can't play spin. Only one of Jadeja's wickets was a great ball (the one that got Marnus). Farkin head cases.
See the ball, hit the farkin ball, you tits.
In another universe Travis Head made 80*.

Australia did a lot better than I was expecting. I thought they would get rolled for about 120.

Warner must go. He doesn't watch the ball and his reflexes and eye-hand coordination are now too slow to overcome his technical deficiencies.

Carey took a leaf out of Dossie 2001's book. He swept well but forgot that you can use a conventional sweep as well. The ball he was dismissed on should've been paddled around the corner.

Well done to Murphy. He probably outbowled Elmer.
Still, this match has an innings loss written all over it.

A convincing India win at least means we get the right WTC final, rather than the farce of an undeserving SA or SL sneaking in. That possibility just shows that nobody’s been very consistent over the last few years.
