All de better, he'll never get out.
Sunny was never out ...just let down by bad umpiring and defective stumps
Unlike some recent members of the 10K club I could name, at least he had a brain.
A bit harsh on Dravid and Tendy, furry.
I totally agree tac. Either of them could have been Ponting's dad, but I guess the retard beat them over the fence.
Makes about as much sense as buckaroo. Or am I having a Nigel moment?

I could claim NSR. You could claim I've started drinking again. Unfortunately, you'd be right.

Re: 10 K
Jebus, since moving permanently to no. 3 he has monstered nearly 7400 runs at 69!! At 33, you'd think he has at least 3 years left in him. That means, injury permitting, if he maintains that remarkable average for say another 30 Tests (10 a year would seem a minimum) then he'll end of with another 3450 runs (50 innings - he is averaging 1.66 innings per Test - at 69), for an aggregate of 13,450.
If he averages his current 58.84 for those 50 innings, he will finish with an aggregate of 12,950.

Ouch. For the most part, fairly accurate.

Re: 10 K
If we give SRT the same time span i.e. until he is 36, then he has 10 more Tests to play. At his current average of 55.31 and 1.61 innings per Test he will play another 16 innings x 55.31 = 885 runs for a final Test aggregate of 12,667 runs.skully wrote:Jebus, since moving permanently to no. 3 he has monstered nearly 7400 runs at 69!! So if we use the same shelf-life of 36 years and project their current averages, Ponting should finish somewhere between 300 and 800 runs in front of the Little Master.

I'm not sure that Ponting has the sort of technique that will allow him to remain prolific after the eyes start to go. Like Mark Waugh, he'll probably go into decline from the age of 36. Actually, he's probably past his best now, if you assume his best was between 2002 and 2006, when he was nigh on unstoppable.

Re: 10 K
I think Tendulkar himself expressed this desire to play one last WC. Had this been hosted by some other country, I doubt he'd have given it a shot but now that its being hosted in subcon, whats better way to retire than to play a WC final (hopefully) in front of home audience (Mumbai) and winning it by scoring a match winning ton (hopefully).
