Ryan Le Loux Empty Ryan Le Loux

Post by WideWally Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:37 pm

Yesterday Ryan Le Loux made 302 for Redlands in the Brisbane first grade competition. He is best known as a leg-spinner but has always been very handy with the bat including a 63 in a tour match against the West Indies in 2005. He has played two FC games for the Bulls.

Last season I thought he might have been a good chance of selection as the spinner in the Queenland Pura Cup team ahead of Daniel Doran who was performing poorly. If he can show some form with the ball, he must come into contention again this season although off-spinner Chris Simpson is probably the favourite.

Aye. Even Jimmy Maher made 95 yesterday. He was in terrible form for Glamorgan in the County Championship.

The young Spiv Phil Hughes scored a big ton in Sydney grade cricket too. A baggy green must be close.

Didnt Shane Watson also make a triple century off about 150 balls in Brisbane club cricket?

Le Loux's triple century didn't impress the captain of the QAS team in the Cricket Australia Cup match against Tasmania this week. He batted at number 9 in the first innings.

Philipson & Clingeleffer have both made centuries in the game. Ben Laughlin (son of Trevor) took 3/42 & 2/82 in his first game at that level. Everyone will also be fascinated to know that QAS wicketkeeper Murray Bragg is the son of our former local veterinarian.
