Should FB commemorate Forum Gold with a special forum section?
Re: Should we have a 'Forum Gold' sub section?
And where is the forum gold subsection Jay? Come on, we're waiting...

I think the ship's sailed Peter. Jay really doesn't seem interested.

Only eleven people voted for it. What's the point in setting up yet another section that no-one visits?
I do like the idea. We'll see.

If you build it, they will come.

Re: Should we have a 'Forum Gold' sub section?
Perhaps it can be broken down into two sections. Gold threads, and individual gold posts.
The threads are a rarity - most degenerate into crap. But in among the crap, if you look hard enough, are the odd one-liner or bizarre rant that really should be preserved for posterity.
Hmmmm...

It will also be good for fly by nighter forummers, lurkers and newbies who can see what kind of posting talent is on offer at Flaming Bails.
If the best of the best posts and threads are collated and summised in the one section, then a newbie coming along might think 'hey, this place seems pretty good'
Or of course we can just let them read the Israel thread which is perennially on the first page and let them see what kind of weirdos we really do have here. I guess the truth hurts.

I have a strange sense of a humour. There are a lot of threads which seem amusing to myself but most others wonder, WTF are you on?
