Strauss has 35.
Trying to justify his promotion into the ODI side...?
I doubt he'll be assigned to be ODI biffer though. More likely to come in the middle order.

Can't see him playing in the Test series, barring injuries.
Unless Monty is rank for the 1st two tests to continue his recent rubbish, I agree - can't see Rashid getting a test.

He'll bat where he bloody well likes. He's the boss now.

Reminds me of that French & Saunders titanic skit where Ade Edmondson takes off James Cameron...

105/0
Strauss 57
Cook 39
Apart from the injuries - which weren't really to do with the match (and in Shah's case apparently is nothing of any concern) - it's been a decent work out for England thus far.
At least four batsmen have spent good time out in the middle and the bowlers all chipped in.

Harmison 13 overs 1 for 68 against some part time muppets.
Why are we farking bothering really after his 'efforts' in India?

Are Harmi's days as the barometer of English cricket coming to an end?

If Sidebottom is fit then I can't see Harmi getting picked. The attack will be Anderson, Broad, Flintoff, Sidebottom, Panesar.

But Fred will want him in, as the guru and mastermind of the team.

If you knew nothing about geography, from this statement alone you'd be able to tell that SK&N is a long way from Durham.JKLever wrote:Harmison 13 overs 1 for 68 against some part time muppets.

Eng 271-5 at Lunch
Cook retired out overnight. Strauss hit a ton then retired out.
Prior was run out by Bell
Broad holed out for 36

Bell perished driving for the second time in the contest, this time for 49, after failing to clear mid-on off spinner Trevier Smithen.

Why does neither crocinfo (< may be a clue) nor the BBC bother with running a score. They both still say 118-0.

Harmlessone has to play at Sabina Park surely? If he doesn't perform there, he never will given the nature of the pitch and his own personal history at the ground.

Not a first class match maybe? Should still cover it though I agree...

They have since decided to show a (rather lagging) score.

221/10
Anderson - 9 -1 - 33- 1
Harmison - 6 - 3 - 18 - 1
Broad - 4-1 -18- 2
Rashid - 15 - 2 - 67- 2
Panesar - 15 - 4 - 51- 3
Pietersen - 5- 1- 25- 1
Sounds like Ambrose kept because Prior had a headache, and the spinners took a bit of thwack at the end from the tailenders having a slog. But it's a win, and a decent work out.

Re: St Kitts and Nevis v England, Warm up match, 25th 27th Jan
Aye. I would always take a win - in any circumstances, against anybody.
Difficult to read much into the figures. Though Broad came out of both innings with some success.

Cook retired out overnight
FFS. How the hell is Cook meant to get into the habit of converting 50's into 100's if they're retiring him 'out' on 50?

Wouldn't have thought a ton against that opposition would have counted for much.

A ton's a ton.
If Bell has done enough to secure his spot again with yet another 50 and out, I will fly to the Caribbean and threaten Ashley Giles with a samurai sword.
