On any news sources or Sky yet? Unlike them not to mince on and on about a Fred injury...

So just a 'niggle' at this stage then and precautionary.

Says he felt it in the nets. So why was he picked to play?
Stupid.

Dunno if this is any good. Teletext seems like a good site!JKLever wrote:Latest score?

Apparently KP's shot to get out was hilarious, he came down the track to a rank long hop and had a swoosh outside off stump. Obviously he wanted to let some others have a bat, as he could of scored as many runs as he wanted against that attack.

Is it right that Harmison has passed 50?
I'm hearing England 411/7

Are we certain that the news isn't that Harmison has gone for over 50? Off seven overs.

Looking back on the previous page, Augustus said he was out for 58.

Pretty good day at the office for England. 421 in a day, couple of hundreds, Cook got some time at the crease.
Shame about Strauss' second baller and Flintoff's niggle, mind...

But lets not forget that the side they are facing is utter rubbish and the ground is tiny.
If they do this against our A side I will start to worry.

Meh - I'm only relaying info. The guy doing the updates sodded off at stumps without even checking the score, so his professionalism is sadly lacking. We'll see when someone arses themselves with a scorecard.

Augustus wrote:I dunno, might open things up for Rashid. Push Prior up to 6 and you've got as good/better bat than Freddie, then with Rashid, Broad, Swann/Panesar/Anderson, Sidebottom and Harmison we've probably got enough.
It could only be a niggly injury though, maybe not a strain. He's definitely injured and by all accounts won't play any further part in this match - we'll have to wait and see whether it's a strain or just a knock requiring precautionary measures.
Edit: Harmison out for 58 and stumps. Shah 125* apparently. No idea of overall score, presumably 450-ish.

Offering in-depth updates by some randomer from St. Kitts, by the way. I registered earlier but it takes an hour or so to get sorted out. Thanks to whoever posted the link on Caribbean Cricket as well in case you're reading this.
Sorry, didn't see this when asking for the score...

I think regardless of how they perform and the results the warm ups are just that - warm ups. Far more important that individuals find their touch IMO and get time in the middle.

Interesting that KP apparently walked a stumping to get out rather than retiring out. Rarely done these days.

New captain, no arsemunch coach to protect him, crap recent record and his direct competition for a place in the side hitting an unbeaten century while he perishes for 36.
Only Gashley can save Tinker now, and really can't see even that being enough this time.
There'd be complete uproar as his continued selection and Shah's exclusion would be utterly indefensible.
Time to go, time to go,
Time to go, time to go,
Time to go.
Time to go,
Time to go-oh,
Time to go-oh, oh, oh, oh,
F**K OFF!

Flintoff has a niggle? I'm worried. The last time we heard he had a 'niggle', he missed 6 months of cricket.

It's his side not his ankle, though.
Even if it's a baddie, it'll still be less than a month - side-strains come with the territory if you're a fast bowler.

So, Bob - do you think there's a sliver of doubt over Ian Bell's worthiness of a place in the England side?
