Only Gashley can save Tinker now, and really can't see even that being enough this time.
There'd be complete uproar as his continued selection and Shah's exclusion would be utterly indefensible.
Time to go, time to go,
Time to go, time to go,
Time to go.
Time to go,
Time to go-oh,
Time to go-oh, oh, oh, oh,
F**K OFF!
So, Bob - do you think there's a sliver of doubt over Ian Bell's worthiness of a place in the England side?
The only doubt is whether it should be a permanent arrangement, or whether he gets packed off with one of those patronising 'go and score lots of runs in County cricket and we'll have a look again in a few months' conversations.
12 months ago I would have said the latter, now feel rather drawn towards the former.

Nevis is a Board pick.
Board also insists he gets equal billing in the name.
Son of the Board President, big unfit brute of a bowler with a Red Stripe belly, always cries off with some sort of strain before actual play and they slip in a replacement when nobody is looking.

What a surprise, the rat-faced wonder continues his usual MO against a side of apparent club bowlers.
Oh well, he'll still get picked for the first test unbelievably. I don't see Strauss changing the side too much!

Crapinfo reporting that Shah has joined fred on the sidelines...
Jeez if it wasn't for bad luck Ace would have no luck at all! Its like the Gods are trying their hardest to ensure an Ian Bell 'sexual boundary laden' 156* when the pressure is off in the drawn final test that will save his bacon for the return series and Ashes happens.
God dammit!

Like to see Rashid get amongst them in the afternoon session. Can't help thinking he's along for the ride though to get experience on this tour...

Ian Bell has been blessed by the fortune fairy. How else can you explain it? I mean, what other short ginger pixies would get to boff this...

Apparently Ace has blurred vision in his left eye.
I would've thought just changing a contact would help.

He hasn't taken the field today, although it is for blurred vision. Hopefully just some sort of migraine thing or the like, and not too serious.
As a batter I think the worst thing that could go would be an eye!!

Apparently he has a 'scratched cornea'. FFS, sounds like his wife got a bit too rough in the sack last night!

FFS just heard that Daren Bravo is out of the A team match with a dislocated middle finger.
He's in cracking form as well.

They're all going at four an over - except Monty - which is a bit ordinary in proper-ish cricket.
Suppose in a three-day game batsmen have to get on with it...

Re: St Kitts and Nevis v England, Warm up match, 25th 27th Jan
Rashid would have to be pretty disappointed so far tbh. To be going at 5 runs per over without taking a wicket against these chumps is not good going.
Still, he may clean up the tail and there is still the Windies A match.

Well, he's only bowled six overs. What's that - one brief spell?
159/7 now according to someone. Whether that's a fact or not is anyone's guess.

Look at the pitch! Look at the pitch!
F*cking hell, what do coaches in England teach their young bowlers? It's not the f*cking basics, that's for sure.
Or maybe he's been getting tips from Jimmy Anderson...

220/7
Willet frustrating England's bowlers apparently. Doubt it will last but never mind.
Rashid got a wicket and is now only going at 4.5 per over.

251ao. Monty 4-53 pick of the bowlers. Broad 2-26 pick of the seamers. Harmy tonked, 1-67 off 13. Both Jimmy and Rashid going at 4+ an over as well. Monty and Broad both economical at 2.5ish.
Hope they take another look at Adil in the Windies A match. He probably isn't ready yet, but he hasn't played for a while whereas these other guys have been playing almost non-stop.
Edit: England 17/0 - Strauss 17*, Cook 0* apparently. Strauss dropped in that 17...

Nothing to worry about with Rashid. He's still a kid, bowling in his first competitive match for the big-boys team. I like the way England are easing him into the setup gently.
Can't see him playing in the Test series, barring injuries.

49/0 off 8 overs.
Strauss has 35.
Trying to justify his promotion into the ODI side...?
