Great day out on the Harbour on a tall ship.
Hope all Aussies and those that wish they were had a great day.

Not that I wish to be an Aussie, but thanks, I did have a great day.

Signs were up at all airports:
"This Here Is Oz Day, Fellas.
Poms Welcome, Banglas on sufferance.
Yarps and Indians can go and just piss off home till you get worse again."

Nice Leo Sayer gain, Aussie folk.
Since I'm guessing his profession ain't on the skilled migration list, I'd say he's paid his way in...

Even the Zimbots would be made to look good by the current Aus team.

Was it across the country? Driving around over the weekend it seemed that every 5th vehicle had a flag jammed into a wound up window. Looked like they were made for the purpose.
God I despise these "made in a marketing division" shows of nationalism & the pinheads that carry it out.

My local bottle shop had them. Free if you bought a slab of beer. I bought a slab (two actually) the bloke offered me said 'car flag' and I looked at him as though he'd offered me a lightly fried stoat on a seame seed bun with a side order of fries, then told him I didn't see the point.Mick Sawyer wrote:Was it across the country? He looked at me like I'd asked if I could burn the flags on the spot.
He was, of course, a pinhead.

Deary me, a bit of a cheap and harmless display of national pride and you two get all high and mighty.
Sooks.
My girls all got into the swing. Admittedly, I chucked the flag off my car as soon as my wife returned the keys.

Re: Happy Australia Day
good grief...americana running amok...not much reason to 'celebrate' this particular date...a bunch of illiterate violent people guarding a bunch of unhappy lags invaded the country...
ron barassi suggested the day we became a whole nation...the 67(?) referendum that supported counting Indigenous people in the census ... until that moment we were divided..
Another could be the day we buried the White Australia policy..
Another could the anniversary of the abolition of conscription by EGW.
What about TGMs birthday?
