United look all kinds of gash at the moment.

Sunderland don't the look the worst side in the world - they can get the ball down a play a little.

They'll finish ahead of Derby and Birmingham at least.

Not sure about Birmingham...

Sunderland didn't really offer a lot going forward. Keanes splashed the cash but £6m on Ken Wyne-Jones doesn't buy you a £6m footballer - if you catch my drift

I've seen a bit of Jones down here when he was with the Saints - he's not the worst player in world.

Obviously I can think of better things to do with £6 million, but I reckon Chopra's a decent little striker and could work well the big, clumsy lunk.

Sunderland would happily take a 17th place finish, and I think they're good enough to acheive that.

Sweet, go the mighty Gooners. Was too tied up watching the Rugby and T20 to catch the EPL.

Heskey's broken his foot.

All McClaren needs now to ease his selection headaches is for Gareth Barry to burst into flames.

Blimey, they'd better not qualify for the Champions' League - Sheffield United will want a slice of that money pie too.

When West Ham are tripping the light fantastic with Real Madrid and AC Milan, the poor deluded Blades will probably be saying it should have been them. Backward bunch of route one non-entities- who in fairness do surprisingly well considering they all have rickets and the black lung.

Having watched MotD and Chelski/Blackburn live it seems the big club little club, CL superstar mid-table nomark divide is affecting refereeing decisions more and more. While Mourhino for once was totally justified in having a pop at the officials over the disallowed 'goal', the fact Rovers were denied a stonewall pen seems to have been overlooked. I loved the way Terry went off on one and confronted Pedersen calling him a cheat, with Joe Cole and Drogba in your team you need some front to do that. So fair play to him.

Next up we have 'Scholesy', having already been booked he made yet another rash challenge. Granted it wasn't malicious or dangerous, but I'd like to bet a considerable sum that had it been any other player other than one of Alex Fergusons charges he would have been yellow carded and sent off without a moments hesitation from the referee. Sickening innit?

TBF Schole's first booking was an absolute joke and Wiley realised that when he didn't book him for the challenge.

I know a lot is made of "The Big Four" getting all the decisions in their favour but TBH I can't really see it.....

Aww come on Pearl be reasonable. Piling into a player late with the ball nowhere to be seen is a bog standard yellow card no matter what standard of football you play in. Scholes did it twice and should have been sent off, simple as that. Wiley, like most Prem refs was aware of the Ferguson factor and had stars in his eyes so duly bottled it.

Yeah I agree the tackle on Arteta was a yellow card (I don't know about the 2nd challenge though), but if he had booked him for that he would be off and he didn't deserve that after his first booking which was farcical.

I thought Schole's first booking was totally justified- held on to the ball for ages, while expressing all kinds of dissent and then punched it a long way down the field delaying the free kick even more. The second tackle was more rubbish and mistimed then reckless or dangerous.

Terry's always berates any player who has the timerity to fall over in his penalty box- even if they've had their knee caps surgically removed by the fullback.

Both of them are in my amazingly unsuccessful fantasy football team.

Scholes should have been red carded, and Mourinho should have to cough up for the laptop he busted in his petulant outburst.
Ain't it hilarious to watch the clown react stupidly when things aren't going his way- with Shevchenko especially !

WGAF anyway - the Gooners top the League with yet another steely display.
