Doesn't fit into the Chelsea system? WTF? How? What System do Chelsea use that doesn't allow a quality full back/

Oh come on - even a guy who thinks Fwank Lampard is the best thing since sliced bread can recognise the tactical differences between Chelsea, where the full-backs rarely venture beyond the half-way line and Arsenal where they're used as auxiliary wingers.

Cole's strength was always going forward. At Chelsea, given a full-time defensive brief, they're playing to his weaker suit.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Cole has looked a more ordinary player since he left Highbury for the money "the chance to win more trophies".

Tactically, they're not a good match. Like Micheal Owen in a long-ball team - you're not really playing to his strengths.

But that's just my opinion, so feel free to rubbish it and declare me a "simpleton" or a "moron" or a "homosexual" for taking an opposing view - my dad's bigger than your dad.

That argument might hold some water.....if Cole wasn't so excellent defensively as well as in attack.

Come on LLL, Cashley made his name by being so good running up the flanks and getting the crosses in, when he was at Arsenal no one noticed his "defensive" skills which imo are average.

No. Cole can attack, run up the flanks and cross but he's also an excellent defender and has been for many years.

According to who and what?

Agree with JK about his positional play, because he is so quick he can easily catch up with players who have got a head of him.

I was born in Colchester, but grew up halfway between there and Ipswich. C'mon - 4th division strugglers or top division side? Difficult choice! naughty

Yeah, dunno... never had any choice really. Especially after I started going regularly. You can't choose your team, your team chooses you. Used to go to Cov as well - 35 miles away, my uncle was a regular - but when they conceded did I GAF? Neh. So support away JKL, support those defunkt bunch of swamp-donkeys/sh!t-kickers... it can't do any harm.... they need the support.

Well usually we disagree on the beating of women and the whole 'f*ck it, lets do coke' attitude of your good self - but I wouldn't be so amdram about it, everybody agrees with everybody about something. For instance, Hitler liked blondes - so do I. I prefer brunettes but hey ho...
