Aussie Ashes Squad
14 or 15 touring party to be named after the Yarpie tour...
Certs so far (IMHO):
Bats
Ponting
Katich
Hussey
Clarke
??
??
North
Bowlers
Johnson
Siddle
Hilfenhaus
??
??
??
Keepers
Haddin
??
Still plenty of places up for grabs...

What if he gets pairs in the remaining matches?

Actually, I do wonder if they will take an extra batsman instead of a second keeper. Froggy might get a look in in that case.

Re: Aussie Ashes Squad
You could pick eleven random Aussies - perhaps found in a bar, under a billabong or lying in a puddle at the side of the road - and they'd still be too good for England in the upcoming Ashes.
Makes no difference.

It's like deciding which Panzer divisions to send into Belgium. It's just vulgar.

Haydos was like the big Tiger tanks the 3rd Reich was churning out by the end of the war. Big and powerful but a crazy waste of resources when faced with fuel shortages and herds of T-34s.

I'd like them to Hodge and for him not to get a game.
In this day and age it would be better to take a squad of 12 and find places in accomodating counties for the next in line.
Just like we did with Shaun Young

F-f-fark off. Watson is gawn and should never, ever be considered again.

Lay off the NSP.
Spin bowling apart. they have made some bold and subsequently entirely justified decisions of late - in the face of the scorn of people around these parts.

Re: Aussie Ashes Squad
To be fair, Haydos powered his way back in.
Besides, he would have had Merv's balls nailed to the wall if they hadn't let him in for his indian summer.
Roy was a maverick who went and lost his danged gunbelt once too often.
Some forummers would still go for Krazy.
And McDonalf might be the alien with the sparkle before long.
(Casson, on the other hand ..)
