I've kept a record of monthly post numbers since September 2010 (FB started in Aug 2007). In January 2008 this forum achieved it's peak activity after the controversial Sydney Test between Aus and India. In that month there were 22,000 posts.

Here is a graph of monthly post counts since Sep 10...



Last time we cracked 1,000 posts for the month was Jan 2021 and we won't replicate that this Jan (currently around 750 posts).

England need to at least select a team (and coaching staff) for the WI Test tour this month… no idea when that will be announced but some big calls to make on and off the field.

Another possible port of call is BigFooty's Cricket Forum.

I note a regular poster there is Grand Uncle Horace (yeah, our horrie - even has a very similar avatar). Perhaps he could give us feedback on the potential for an influx of us.

Then again, I'm not sure our few remaining UK posters would feel like drifting over to an Aussie Football forum with a Cricket sub Forum.

One drawback - the place is heavily infested with Vomits (well, it is BigFooty) and, seemingly, Pinkos.

Perhaps we'll just keep limping along here.

Numbers are not everything Skippy but yep the immediacy of conversation is missing here now.

I think the Big Footy cricket forum would welcome all posters here. There are a few Poms posting so our guys who kick ass would be welcomed as would anyone. There are Bannies fans as well as the odd NZ and WI fan All civil There
are stats nerds aplentyl Skully is safe and those plonkers would revere him. Not a really happy thought
