Re: United States of America
Actually the bar dude ignored us until his boss came out and basically ordered him to serve us...was pretty funny.Mick Sawyer wrote:Had a Martini in the lobby bar of the Waldorf.
They'll take money off anyone, clearly.
Nice comparison with the service at the Flat Iron Bar where the barman gave us cocktails on the house cos he didn't have the ingredients to make the one we wanted.

I think I had this joke I used to use on the Napster. Something along the lines of making sure of the black helicopters.
If the Seppos can't take a joke Fark 'em.

I actually meant that they cannot handle their alcoholic beverages or the illegal substances.
Re: United States of America
I thought those questions are compulsory for any nation.
It's on the green card form, right?
Regardless of alliances, waivers, treaties etc, all citizens of any nation must answer those questions.

If you go outside the major cities you will see a different story.

We have the Americans to thank for the phenomenon of people washing down meals that would keep a Somali family of ten going for a month with diet Coke.

Driving on the highways.
Just take a car and go, just go. A wide, magnificent land.
There's nothing compared to it in the whole wide world - that I have seen.

Actually they give you the world's best highways and then say you can only drive at 100kmh(might be faster in some states).
Wankers.

There is that. What I found hard to reconcile with their population is that you can be travelling along a great road for yonks without seeing another vehicle.

Re: United States of America
I spent 3 and a half years at UCF taking science, math and Engineering classes.
Amount spent on tuition and books during this time- ZERO dollars despite NOT being a world class student. I would have NEVER had that luxury in Pakistan so i am very thankful to this country
