Spangler in poor show shocker, 1 Kolpak and 2 foreigners allowed. No current contracted England players allowed either.

Where in the rule book does it say that?! Point me to the actual page... You can't just move the goalposts mid-way through a thread. That's not how we do things here. If we did we'd be no better than anyone else.

Away from this inane banter....we'll just go with whoever we think would be the best to play in an XI for either division. Makes things simpler than p!ssing about with goal-posts and the like.

Remember this is based on fantasy. Seeing as anything serious is pointless.

I'd leave out the overseas players if I were you. I mean Hughes has played like 3 FC games for Middx.

And Croft over Kaneria....... bulax.

I was tempted to put Kaneria in.


Although I would be top heavy on Essex. Not a healthy diet...

Why not just put out Wales?

Croft over Udal is stretching it.

Nah. Wales haven't produced a decent player since Simon Jones.

Not sure when we'll produce another.

Even though Croft is in division 2, bowling against Div 2 batsmen, he's still economicallly friendly AND does chip away at batsmen.


Shaggy only has an average 3 less than Croft in first class Cricket.


Glamorgan and Middlesex don't play in a 4 day match until August.

Because of the England thing I don't know who would be disqualified so have basically ruled anyone out who has played for England in the last nine months (which is why a lot of Durham and Notts seamers cannot play):

Couldn't find anyone at 3 for a while so just stuck by my Nottinghamshire bias. Every Nottinghamshire bowler would have got in, of course, but I decided not to pick them. I've excluded short-term overseas players (otherwise GOD would have been in there) as well as players I don't like. Hoggard was in my team originally but I've gone for youth in . . . erm . . . Kabir!

Phew, then I'm safe on that one.


Pete, as a Lanky, who would you include in your Division 1 XI. I'm piecing mine together mine as we speak, but there are quite a few more decent players to use to its taking longer than expected...

It's still a mishmash, cant make up a team until we know the ground rules.

Like no overseas, no contracted players, no welshers...

Okay fine.

The rules: 1 Kolpak (optional), 2 Overseas (optional) and No contracted England players.

Do the England contracts cover Tests, ODI's and T20's? Or are they seperate?

I'm trying to make this easy on people but its harder than first thought....

The recent dismal decay in CC form has now set into the T20 too, and they lost at home to Leics tonight.

As Lever said, difficult to know who to propose if we don't have clear directives.

I've given clear directives.
