It's got to be getting close to Ponting standing down from JAMODIs and JAMOTTs.

Aye. If we lose the ODI series this summer, you'd have to think they'll sack him...JGK wrote:It's got to be getting close to Ponting standing down from JAMODIs and JAMOTTs.

And here I thought this was again going to be about Modi and BCCI...
Why don't the other boards outsource the T20 and 50 over series production contracts to BCCI and Modi? Even if the games quality don't go up and the number of these mindless games don't go down, the revenue will increase surely? In the end thats the reason so many of these junk fast food games are played right?

Why risk the Test players, though? Why not just have women play, nude? That'd bring in even bigger crowds.

I would guess that you didn't play any on the last test tour.
They played the 7 match one day leg few months before the tests in India, when Dhoni lost the 7 match rubber 4-2 in his first major assignment as a full time captain after Dravid stepped down as captain. Dravid's failure in that series cost him his one day spot till now. He was dropped in the last ODI and not considered again till last week.

I believe India and Aus have an agreement for these reciprocal one day series. I am not sure. It's difficult to keep track of so many crap matches being scheduled. But I think India may also play 7 match series next time they visit Aus as well now that the VB Series triangular fomat has been junked.....

Yeah. F*ck them. ODI's are shit these days. Actually, they've been shit for 5 years. Yesterday's news. Get rid of them. F*ck.

Re: On to the JAMODI/T20 stuff
The England team will certainly look shit without Freddie and KP in it for the shorter formats... we haven't even got Strauss in the T20 as apparently he's not suited to it, sure he would be better than some of the others who have no form at all at the moment.
Would have been better to have all this as a warm-up to the Ashes like we did in the past, JAMODI and JAMITT series may not generally stick in the memory very often but bowling the Aussies out for 70-odd in the T20 in 2005 before seeing them lose to Bangladesh in Cardiff in the triangular SODIT certainly set up the summer. They fought back and I think it ended up pretty much honours even between England and Australia and we all felt we'd played them into form for the Tests...
Still, bit of fun to end the season, and a lot less stressful to watch than the stuff that really matters!

A LOT less stressful indeed. And a chance for players to prove themselves with not much at stake.
Still can't believe we haven't called up Trott to the squads yet tbh.

Rather bizarrely, Trott's been called up for the T20s and the Ireland JAMODI but not the full one-day series against Australia, at this stage.

You can only presume he'll be added. Would look a bit stupid for him to make a decent score against Ireland and then miss out

They will probably call up whoever makes a decent score for Ireland...

JAMODIs. No-onee seemed much to care before and it would seem T20 is taking it over in the interest stakes. I doubt we'll have a 50 over WC after the current contracts run out.
