Re: Kim Hughes....
Indeed the batting actually looks as if it might be taken care of for the next decade or so, and the spinning cupboard is not bare despite what the selectors choice of Sulieman Benn would make you believe.
What we really need is some more fast bowlers in the current Under 19 setup as the current Windies Under 19 squad is full of batting prodigies and spinners.

Henry wrote:Darren Bravo has more potential that Lendl Simmons, imo. Kieron Pollard shouldn't be written off either. There's also the prodigy Craigg Braithwaite, who scored something like 50 centuries in junior cricket.
Pollard is a waste of space.
Windies need to find a squad of scrappers and scrapers who may not be the most naturally talented of players but who will lay their lives on the line for the cause.

WIFAN wrote:That is an absolutely outstanding article by Cozier. IMO he has been pretty disappointing in recent years but he is back to his best in this article, putting the Australian media in their place. The likes of Malcolm Conn, Ben Dories and Jamie Panderam have shown a complete lack of class in the last week or so.
Conn is a consistently negative writer, never happier than when he is ripping into his next target. he can't scapegoat any of the Asutralian players at present, while they're winning, so his absolute favourite pastime has been denied him ... he must therefore lash out in some other direction. He's an utter scumbag of a journalist who hasn't written anything worthwhile in the last decade. I've never heard of either of the others ... Gideon Haigh and Christian Ryan (*cough* - skully) usually write balanced articles.
