Re: The Football Thread - 09/10 (III)
It's an astonishing figure.
Wouldn't have thought they'd be worth much more than 10% of that.
As you say, anyone taking them on must be mental - there's no conceivable way any potential investor could make a penny of profit out of them.
Can't even sell them for scrap.
Looks like the end...

If they can't agree a CVA with their creditors they're sure to start next season with at least a 10 point reduction.
I hope the Administrator has had forensic auditors crawling all over the club's accounts - you can't tell me that a £120m loss is just down to poor management.

I remember Ipswich were fooked with £32mn debts after about a couple of years out of the top flight.
£120mn might have been servicable in the Prem, but they're in a right mess out of it.

Safe to say the winners of the Inter/Barca semi will stroll to CL success?
Bayern: tres ordinary.
Lyon: appalling.

Tonight's game was like watching paint dry or Joe Sayers bat

Fulham hold Hamburg to a 0-0 draw in Hamburg.
Just need to win at Craven Cottage now to make the Europa Cup final.

Mark Schwarzer .... got Con writ all over him .. but aye, a good goalkeeper, considering ...
I'd love to see Fulham get to the Finals and then kick Scouse arse ....
Roy Hodgson deserves it.

You mean restricting England to putting 6 goals past him rather than 10 ?
Yeah, probably.

Dodgy score 0-0 though... still 50/50 that tie. Would be a massive achievement for a club the size of Fulham.
They'd probably get smashed like Boro did when they reached the final.

Has there ever been an all English UEFA cup final?JKLever wrote:Dodgy score 0-0 though... still 50/50 that tie. Would be a massive achievement for a club the size of Fulham.

Still a lot of work for both sides to do. If Liverpool concede at home they'll have to score 3 now.

Wolves/Spurs in the early 70's I think.
Should have been a Forest/Spurs final in 1984 but for some corrupt refereeing.

I blame all of our recent

It was quite funny today hearing Sepp Blatter in South Africa, refer to the sport as "Association Football or soccer".
